tigerose: lilyspad: Tigerose....do you dampen the cotton BALLS first to soak up the scent, or just put it all in dry? Just curious, in case I ever want to make some. :DNo, all the ingedients are dry..unless your cat deposits it somewhere very wet! I know my cat did! (future hubby's coffee mug)....dont ask why itnis a potato..must have een some craft thing I saw...nylon doll?
tigerose: sherpa18: And now for the aforementioned play time pics (potato toy courtesy of tigerose) / many thanks for making my little kitteh very happy :o)I am so glad he is enjoying the potato. For those not in the know..when I had my Siamese, Aiko, and I was a broke student..I would take one dead pantyhose foot, stuff it with cotton and catnip..knot it, then turn it inside out and knot again. This was her favorite toy, until she passed at age 15 from renal failure. So simple, but a certified kitteh delight! The smellier the foot the better!

Gremie likes to drop it in Jack's water dish. After he gets it good and wet he runs around the house throwing it everyone. I think he likes to see everyone jump away from the wet rag.
professional_vampire: lilyspad: Cracker Jack is in time-out right now.Uh-oh!! What happened? Or should I not ask....?Hubby was petting him when, without warning, he attacked hubby's hand. Not just a play attack - a real, "I will kill you if I can" attack. He spent an hour locked in the bedroom and has had his favorite toys taken away for the rest of the day.
I'll just leave this here for our resident artist...

yobbery: akimbotoo: Well, I finally made it in to say Happy Caturday! Had company that arrived Thursday evening & just now left so I am sure it may take me until tomorrow night to catch up. Oh yeah. We were taking our parrot to the bird vet to be checked out on Friday. We are all ok, but rolled the truck on the ice and ended up on my side of the truck. Usual whiplash kind of things, and of course I had to tell the EMT that I also broke a nail :) I thought it was funny thing to notice. The hard-core tough part of the story is we made it back home, hubby put the studded tires on my car and we went to the vet anyway with the parrot who only had a tiny scrape by his eye. This is why we always wear seat belts!Yikes! Glad you're all OK. I learned my seat belt lesson the hard way
micromedic: Glad to hear you and all are OK Akimbotoo!!! I would have been very supportive and sympathetic about the nail breakage...
tigerose: I was thinking about natural disasters..and kittehs...and this...Plaintive CryWhere are you?You were here a few memories ago.Now you are gone. The wind howled so.It hurt my ears.Wail! And now I cannot find you.Our home is naught but sticks.Surely you would not leave me here.Meow?Would you?I am so alone.I am scared.Hide.Silence.Water flows.First just my paws areWet.Then the water rises.Merow? Why did you have to leave me here?I thought you would be backSoon. Always Soon. But you are not with me.And I must go upstairs. I shall go smell your bed.It brings me comfort. It is what I know.Hurry home please?I am hungry.Sigh.Hot.Air that is dark.Hard to breathe.Whiskers singe.Giant with Big hands.Gloves of terror.Oh! He's got me!Nooo! Do not want to leave.Cannot smell anything, panic!Oh, where is my person?Bright lights,The smell of water.Char.Finally a familiar voice,A face.Salt water flowing.Past cheeks, Midnight in hue.My person. My Comfort.You.Purr.tigerose 11/11/12
lilyspad: akimbotoo: Oh yeah.OMG!!! If I had been in that truck, you would have had to get the inside detailed!!! Holy crap! Really glad you are all okay....
ThePuceGuardian: Sudden cold snap. Holiday music. Elections. Maybe I should give this 'hibernation' thing another try.Until then, though....Achyvi:[i.imgur.com image 350x263]
tigerose: valnt9 glad you liked it. I never know if you all will see/hear the same things that I do when I am writing.I really need to learn how to epub...I would like to put poems out there, then have people give to a charity when they download it...instead of me! :) food for thought!
