You mean Karl Rove is using the Rovian strategy of taking your own weakness and accusing your opponent of it?

2012-11-08 11:11:20 PM
You need to utilize the surface of the moon to have a screen big enough for that kind of projection.

coeyagi: Especially since the money wasn't just spend by Adelson so that he can make more money, the money was spent to keep Obama's DOJ off his ass by getting rid of it, i.e., spent to keep that slimey f*ckwaffle out of prison.

Yeah, Adelson won't have a friendly face in the White House to keep Beijing from asking pointed questions about his Macau holdings.

Nem Wan: jake_lex: On election night, Fox News pwned Rove on camera. That's as strong an indication as you'll get that Turd Blossom is done.

Even George W. Bush must have been face-palming.

Atheist Vuvuzela Marching Band: Britney Spear's Speculum: For Karl Rove to lose it like this, there must've been a big Republican scandal to secure Ohio for Romney that completely failed/collapsed. I suspect something to come out about it in the next year.

Rove is a calculating and smart guy. I don't believe for a second that he would buy into the right-wing narrative as he is the one who basically trademarked it. You are probably on to something.

Eh ... I dunno. I don't think he was the evil genius the left made him out to be. He and Bush rode a cultural wave in Texas to the top, and I think they were more "right place/right time" than anything else. Gore was basically handed the Democratic Nomination in 2000 by default via being the Vice President, but I think a better Democratic Candidate could have used the Clinton economy to clean Bush's clock. Then where would Karl be? Running county judge seat campaigns in bumblefark Texas.

At any rate, I think he's completely out of his league when it comes the sophistication, smarts and vision of the new generation of Axlerods and Plouffes campaign managers. A bit like Joe Walsh and Bill Parcells trying to come back and coach again in the modern NFL.

Lunaville: NewportBarGuy: I have to think some billionaire is considering hiring Triple Canopy or a similar firm to make Karl go "bye-bye".

Is that what the company formerly known as Blackwater/Xe is calling itself now?

Nope, from what I remember, Triple Canopy is its own entity and hires only former Spec Ops guys. Retirees/recently separated with a desirable skillset. Could be wrong though.

Oh, really Karl? This explains a lot. When we talk about voter suppression, we mean "placing barriers between voters and the ballot box." Apparently when you talk about voter suppression, you mean "showing the world how bad a candidate is, so no one wants to vote for him."

For future reference: the former is voter suppression, the latter is not. Glad we cleared that up.

I'd love to find out they cheated and still lost.

Fox is seriously some insidious shiat. It's like a steady flow of treacle in the public's ears. It was amazing to see this election season - an endless cavalcade of misinformed conservatives repeating lies they heard on Fox news, some from years and years ago.

I tend to think the USA is pretty farked in the long term. I also think when the chickens finally do come home to roost, it will be very apparent that it was a mistake to allow the citizenry to be basically indoctrinated by professional liars.

Rove is also wrong (ooooooh shocker!)

Obama is not the first US President to win with a smaller popular vote margin:

Andrew Jackson dropped from 55.93% to 54.74%
Grover Cleveland dropped from 48.85% to 46.02%
FDR went up on his second, but then dropped down on his third and fourth

Obama dropped from 52.87% to 50.73%, which is still higher than any Democrat has gotten since Johnson.

I have the feeling this is only the beginning of the GOP's purges.

However, by backing Mr. Romney so strongly, he may be able to attain sympathy in the face of an investigation by claiming any such investigation to be an attempted punishment for his support of the opposition.

Great pic. May we see it reenacted one fine day.

Also, this thought had occurred to me. I've tried to fight the tin-foil-hat thoughts I've had about Ohio this election, but I'm not going to refuse to ever entertain such possibilities, because I fully believe there are people who would do it if they thought they could.

I would suspect the doners to Rove's PACs will be asking to see his books. I further suspect it will not be asked for amicably. So my question is: Do they have standing to get the financial records? And seriously, what could they do?

So accurately pointing out that Romney is a craven liar who built his wealth by bankrupting American companies and shipping jobs to China and who gets his kicks firing people somehow equals voter suppression?

HOW THE fark WAS THIS ELECTION EVEN CLOSE?!

One of the people he took millions from is a billionaire casino boss currently facing a Justice Department investigation. He needed Romney to win to make that investigation go away. I think he may want to do more to Turd Blossom than just "look at the books."

I don't want to wish ill will on Rove, but at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up having a "heart attack" in the next year or so.

Ha ha. Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Ha ha hahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahaha!
Until The republicans realize why they lost, they will never win again. Pick the values you care about, and campaign with them, you pillocks. What makes your country great? What makes your values so special, that people would care about them. Stop trying to win through fear, and try to win through pride.Your people will only support you if they care about who you are and what you care about. Idjits.

Not so much a theory, as it is wishful thinking. If I see a falling star, Karl's in some trouble though.

/Maybe it'll land on him

All of the GOP does the projection dance when caught doing something awful. Then, the gullable suckers go all "both sides are bad so vote Republican." I'll bet Rove invented the technique which has worked rather well until lateley.

I'd love to know how much of this huge pile of cash Rove paid himself for his most excellent services. It would make me a little jumpy to think Sheldon Adelson might send over some guys to make inquiries.

Rove always accuses the opposition of whatever he's doing himself.

http://rove.com/election

What I don't get is that Karl Rove's election map was actually making sense for a while. He was about as accurate as Silver's. Now, it has this mythical 285/253 number. And the timeline doesn't seem to jive with the numbers. He put too much into the toss-up category, just so he could pick those himself.

2012-11-09 07:30:30 AM
Maybe in a year or so, we'll know how much Obama really won by, once the election fraud due to this asshole and his cronies is accounted for.

2012-11-09 07:31:50 AM
What surprises me here is not the lying, duplicity, hypocrisy, etc. from Rove. Those are his trademarks.

What surprises me is the pathetic flailing, to the point that a Fox News moderator has to try to snap him back to reality. "Really, Karl? That's what you've got? Really?" From the mouthpiece of the cable news organization that is the media organ of the right wing.

It's like Pravda publishing a frontpage editorial that begins with, "Really, Comrade Stalin? Really?"

It appears that he has come unglued. If I'm right about this, it means that he's finished as a figure on the national political scene.

2012-11-09 07:37:02 AM
"President Obama has become the first president in history to win a second term with a smaller percentage of the vote than he did in the first term," Rove said.

That would seem to indicate that Mitt Romney is the WORST candidate to run against an incumbent president in US history.
