I suppose he was askin' for that.

propasaurus: Rove always accuses the opposition of whatever he's doing himself.

Aaaaaaaand we're done here.

If there is a Jim Crow that suppresses the minorities (mainly African Americans), there is probably a John Crow that suppresses the white people.

Those fools Megyn Kelly works with are going to drive her to register as a Democrat. Keep it up boys, I can't wait for Ms. Kellys' Op-Ed entitled Why I Became A Democrat.

That's more like it.

For Karl Rove to lose it like this, there must've been a big Republican scandal to secure Ohio for Romney that completely failed/collapsed. I suspect something to come out about it in the next year.

NewportBarGuy: I have to think some billionaire is considering hiring Triple Canopy or a similar firm to make Karl go "bye-bye".

Is that what the company formerly known as Blackwater/Xe is calling itself now?

Karl, you're headed for the spam can.

When you get called out by Megyn Kelly, on Fox News, on election night, to your face, for being an obvious shill, you are finished.

2012-11-08 10:39:09 PM
Pssst ... Karl. Your party has lost the popular vote in 4 out of the last 5 Presidential elections. The "silent majority" no longer exists. Pass it on.

Tigger: Die you fat worthless fark

So much this.

Take a look in the mirror, Rove. You personally annointed the wrong candidate. You orchestrated the whole clusterfark. IT IS ALL YOUR FAULT.

I think by suppress he means the Obama campaign made voters feel so bad or demoralized they didn't turn out in the numbers anticipated.

Which is a valid move. I rule for the incumbent.

Not that I cae one way or another about Rove, but it would be nice if Politico wasn't blatantly editing the video

Interesting theory. Given that the GOP always accuses the other side of doing what they're actually doing, you may very well be right.

Of course the silient majority still exists. Who do you think just voted Obama back in? It's just got a different compostion.

"Obama is a socialist who hates American prosperity and individuals who can succeed on their own! He is a secret communist Muslim who's only concern is destroying every value this country holds dear! And damn him for running such a negative campaign!"

St_Francis_P: That doesn't make much sense, even for Karl Rove.

It makes perfect sense as the standard procedure of accusing your opponent of your actions. He is a total loon for not comprehending that behavior repelled voters.

Rove has been exposed as the fraud he is and always was. He got his teeth kicked in on the national stage and he's looking for a plausible explanation.

Rove has thrived on his image as an 'evil genius' for a while now. Pissing away 100 million dollars on a SuperPAC that nets no results can tend to put a damper on something like that.

There could be a sort of connection.
Right now, I'll bet Rove is "so very scared"

Wow. A Republican accuses Obama of the exact thing the GOP is guilty of. What a refreshingly new strategy. Surely this will endear them to a younger and more diverse voter-base, setting them up for victory in the next election.

Rove is a calculating and smart guy. I don't believe for a second that he would buy into the right-wing narrative as he is the one who basically trademarked it. You are probably on to something.

2012-11-08 10:59:33 PM

GleeUnit: You know, it's weird...

It's almost like he took hundreds of millions of dollars from some of the nation's most wealthy and powerful people, promising sweeping victories for their candidates and causes, and is now flailing around desperately trying to shift the blame away from himself after he returned absolutely zero success.

Kind of like an inept gambler trying to convince his mob-associated bookie not to break his thumbs after pissing his money away.

You know, in the movies, this generally ends a lot worse for the guy than broken thumbs.

Looks like the Romney campaign's Project Orca was an unmitigated disaster and also possibly the source of all the ridiculously wrong EV predictions by George Will and others. It explains a lot about why the Romney campaign and many conservatives were so cocksure heading into Tuesday.

What a circus of ineptitude that campaign was.

2012-11-08 11:00:14 PM

unyon: He's right. The net result of negative campaigning is that some people eventually perceive both sides to be bad and opt out of the process entirely. Of course, what he fails to mention is that he's a primary contributor to this phenomenon.

So, what Karl Rove is in essence saying is that Karl Rove is a horrible, horrible human being. I think we can all agree with that.

I read somewhere that Obama picked up 6,000 newly registered voters in Las Vegas and 5,0000 somewhere in Pennsylvania.

Sounds like one side is better at getting people to opt in than the other.

Especially since the money wasn't just spend by Adelson so that he can make more money, the money was spent to keep Obama's DOJ off his ass by getting rid of it, i.e., spent to keep that slimey f*ckwaffle out of prison.

Obama did create jobs - there should be dozens of new jobs with the description "Turd Blossom Security Team Member".

Did they have the part where her partner says something like "We're going to send Megyn down the hall to talk to the experts", and Megyn looked at him like "You farking bastard, if you're still here when I get back I'm going to rip your balls off and stuff them down your throat".

2012-11-08 11:09:03 PM
Instead of expanding voters, Rove argued, Obama "suppressed the vote" by demonizing former Gov. Mitt Romney and encouraging people not to vote.

I'm pretty sure that's not what "suppressing the vote" means.
