That doesn't make much sense, even for Karl Rove.

He's just mad because it became glaringly obvious how big of a blowhard fraud he is.

2012-11-08 04:51:14 PM
Hmmm... I get the feeling that Rove might become the blood sacrifice to the angry GOP gods in order to appease them.

It's everyone elses fault!

this week is 'rage' week. NEXT week is 'conspiracy theory' week. week #3 is 'purge the moderates and stage a bloody palace revolution' week.

2012-11-08 05:00:29 PM
He's right. The net result of negative campaigning is that some people eventually perceive both sides to be bad and opt out of the process entirely. Of course, what he fails to mention is that he's a primary contributor to this phenomenon.

So, what Karl Rove is in essence saying is that Karl Rove is a horrible, horrible human being. I think we can all agree with that.

Oooh... that's Thanksgiving. They may have to push the coup back until the week after.

i'm sorry but scheduling is rather tight on this. the manual CLEARLY says that week #3 is purge the moderates and storm the palace gates'. you can't give people turkey before the violent revolution, the triptophan will have them flat out cold in a food coma inside of three hours.

James!: It's everyone elses fault!

It's fascinating watching the Kübler-Ross model play out on national television.

You know, it's weird...

It's almost like he took hundreds of millions of dollars from some of the nation's most wealthy and powerful people, promising sweeping victories for their candidates and causes, and is now flailing around desperately trying to shift the blame away from himself after he returned absolutely zero success.

Kind of like an inept gambler trying to convince his mob-associated bookie not to break his thumbs after pissing his money away.

ManateeGag: be cause one polling station had a mural of the president that means the vote was rigged everywhere.

Also there was a polite black man in a coat somewhere in Philadelphia who was holding the door for people going into the polls.

You laugh, sure. But all those cameramen that Fox dispatched to film him while he stood there all day couldn't very well get to their own precincts to vote for Romney, now could they?

Rove always accuses the opposition of whatever he's doing himself.

Yep. If he can't get people to believe that there's something nefarious out there, his goose is cooked. Goodbye $300 million dollar revenue stream, hello running backwater campaigns in Texas again.

Karl Rove does not seem to be able to handling losing very gracefully. He seems rather incapable of processing it. I can only imagine what his dreams must be like.

In my minds eye, I see Obama as Merlin from Excalibur.

Obama plans on appointing a czar that will in charge of assigning slave names to all citizens.
We must have a revolution and demand that we be allowed to choose our own slave names.
Freedom!

Rove's antics actually kept Romney from making a decision to concede earlier in the night.

That's pretty telling. Romney wasn't paying attention to the ground game anymore. All Fox all the time. With the man running the largest Super PAC going crazy on air. Fox really does have that party by the balls.

This seems to be the new tact for Fox News.... "How can we get into a fist fight with Karl Rove?"

2012-11-08 07:49:25 PM
On election night, Fox News pwned Rove on camera. That's as strong an indication as you'll get that Turd Blossom is done.

2012-11-08 07:56:08 PM
I thought the hour's worth of Shepard Smith complaining about how Romney was dragging his heel on conceding was rather interesting, too.

The good news is that tryptophan doesn't actually make you sleepy- there simply isn't enough of it in turkey. The bad news is that the sleepiness comes from over-eating. If they could somehow pilot a rascal with one hand and a turkey leg in the other, I think they might have a strategy.

2012-11-08 08:06:12 PM
For Rove, it would have worked out a lot better if Obama had only gotten 60% of the vote total that was reported.

Maybe, just maybe, that's the entire point. Maybe the grand purpose of FOX is to troll the Republicans to the point where they are no longer even remotely effective.

/can't believe I just typed that.

It was kind of beautiful on election night. Around 9:50 Central Time, Fox called Ohio for Obama. There was this broken look on all of them, where just for a single second, the echo chamber fell apart. It was like getting mooned by bigfoot in a UFO - no one will ever believe me, but I saw it.

No: the whole point of Rupert Murdochs news/entertainment was to gather ratings and advertising dollars. He realizes that the hippies became conservative. Rich, oldd white people had money.

Suddenly FOX news information was totally wrong. All they were saying. You can't survive as a news orgization if you're biased. People faith is shaken...and the begin to question there liability.

Republicans are the kings of suppression: facts, math, history, gays, vaginas...

2012-11-08 08:51:35 PM
All I have to say as far as voter suppression goes is that it was the GOP poll watcher who got kicked out of the early vote precinct where I was watching because he kept pushing the envelope and too many voters complained. And it was the tea party state legislator who go kicked out of the UF student union on election day because he camped out inside the 100 foot zone campaigning and wouldn't go back to where he was supposed to be.

Meanwhile, working voter protection for the Obama campaign, we were doing our dead level best to make sure that everyone who was registered and wanted to vote actually voted.

Sure seems like once again the GOP is accusing the other side of doing what the GOP has actually done.
