susansto-helit: With my admittedly limited experience with stingrays, I've come to the conclusion that they are the adorable puppies of the sea.

I worked at Sea World -- well, not the Sea World, just a Sea World (in fact they had to change their name after being sued by the big one, even though they existed first). It was a very respectable aquarium, and I did a lot of cool jobs there: lead tourgroups where kids could touch icky sea things, including sharks, worked with Sea Lions, etc., but I also got to clean the tanks where different animal life lived. Sometimes you'd have to clear a tank of certain kinds of animals, but most would leave you alone. However, the ray tank that we had was full of playful little dudes. I'd strap on a full suit and tank, goggles, etc., and jump in to clean the sides of the tanks and the glass, and they would just sort of hang out with me. They'd either float along side me or kind of like mock-ram me in the arms or the stomach, and then sprint away with the underwater equivalent of giggling. You could put your hand on them and push them toward the floor, and then they'd spring back up and hover there to wait for you to do it again. Sometimes they'd try to knock the scrubber out of your hand, or push the pole you were using the wrong way. They had neat little personalities and liked people. They were adorable.
