Syria is a region war between Iran the Saudis.China will transition and will do what's in the best interest of the Chinese government, which is progressive economic liberalism. Europe will become a region ruled by socialist governments whom are controlled by a Central Bank. Mali and Yemen are the same problem that can be solved with drone strikes and special forces raids.

There, now back to posting white people crying over Romney's loss.

Why is this worth mentioning? Is it a big deal? Should we start another war? Be pissed because we didn't know sooner? I'm genuinely curious how this is supposed to make me feel or care.

tl;dr of TFA from a guy that didn't read the article: I know that we, the journalists have stuck to solely spewing bullshiat about the presidential election for the past year, but it's clearly due to your lack of intelligence, not our inability to do our jobs and actually cover news events other than the major 24/7 story, and to prove this fact here's an article for you to read about how I was totally doing my job but you weren't paying attention because you're too stupid and misinformed.

I said after Romney was nominated and thoughout the season that 0bama would win. No news there.
I also said that the House would remain GOP.
The only really loss was hoping the GOP could pick up some seats in the Senate. Aiken was a disaster. But hey, still better off than 2008.
GOP now has 30 governorships and hasn't lost a race since 2007 - not even a recall.

Trashy: So if you refresh this Drudge what ever that is, you miss out on International news that I already knew about from NPR days prior?

No, it's apples and oranges. Drudge is an aggregator. With Drudge you are getting news from multiple outlets. So, if something big shows up on CBS first, he'll link to it. With NPR, you are just limited to NPR. I wouldn't use him as only news source, he can be biased on his which outlets he chooses, but he's not bad. If there are 30 stories on there right now, there are probably 15-20 sources.

2012-11-08 06:12:48 PM
I'd also like to add... Dave chappelle wouldn't be bombing other people and killing woman and children. He'd probably legalize - de-criminalize pot use and free thousands of blacks from the federal government slavery program.

But those drones have been in their country, many times. And if they are near Iran's border threatening to enter, and they shoot at one, they are not doing anything we wouldn't do in a similar situation.

Its not like they are throwing missiles at our fleet in the gulf. That would be a different story.

Israel is holding national elections on Jan. 22, but Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has already upended the country's political establishment by announcing the merger of his Likud Party with Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman's ultranationalist Yisrael Beiteinu. Formalizing the alliance with the pro-settlement party means that Netanyahu's government seems unlikely to prioritize peace talks with the Palestinian Authority. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, meanwhile, is facing condemnation from his more hard-line rivals for recent comments suggesting he might be willing to give up on the Palestinian right of return.

At least he's not going to pretend anymore. Hopefully they lose spectacularly.

kriegsgeist: tenpoundsofcheese: oh, don't forget that you all missed that Iran fired on a US drone that was unarmed and not in their airspace.

oh wait, you missed that because the White House chose not to report it last week.

ooppsie.

The white house is in charge of reporting things? I thought that was the media's job.

Yes. Go on...

How does it feel to lose so handily? Does it hurt? Please tell me how much it hurts. Wait (zzzzzzip), ok, now tell me.

Meh. Doesn't hurt at all.

Why can't all your posts be this reasonable?

I never got the governorship thing, even for an amendment, it needs the state legislatures approval. Walker won his recall, and Obama carried the state. Lesson learned: state and national preferences rarely line up. Same goes for me: I have voted Republican on State and Local levels, but won't on national levels until the GOP figures out how to get moderates to vote for them.

please: Damn...if you make it to page two, you'll see that Pussy Riot members were sent to the gulags. Their family and lawyers don't even know here for sure. That's crazy.

Commies don't like it when people have different ideas than them.

I'm sure this has been said before, but none of those things are new. Paying attention to the election wouldn't preclude a full understanding of all these things.

uber humper: Aarontology: Or maybe they just want to start wars over bullshiat like their hero Bush so more soldiers die.

More US soldiers have died, more brown and yellow skin people have been bombed, under a Democrat presidents than Republican -- by a huge amount.

Is that a Limbaugh talking point or something? What a bizzare claim, whether it is true or not. What is that supposed to mean? WW2 casualties were Roosevelt's fault? And wouldn't Lincoln's Civil War dead outweigh all the others? Just a weird claim.

Killer Cars: Everytime I read current events briefs like this or in the first few pages in a copy of The Economist, that song by Midnight Oil starts running through my head. You know, that one.

Of course! Jimmy Sharman's Boxers.

Oh wait, you meant "Power and the Passion", or "Back on the Borderline", or perhaps "U.S. Forces".

...or perhaps "Read About It"? Yeah, it's a spew of news themes.

Only Randroids compare living human beings to Atlas. Disappointed Progressives are more likely to notice how all US authority figures are co-opted, stymied or corrupted.

It's a common talking point of the democrats how the Republicans are some war mongers. In the last 100 years, what wars have Republican presidents entered into besides the recent middle east wars?

Just one. All of the others took deferments under various pretexts.
