casey.lurvs.bacon: R.A.Danny: Just because this is fixed doesn't mean you aren't a dumbass.

hahahahahaahahahahaaha

IT WASN'T MY FAULT AND I HAVE PROOF IN WRITING.

She's actually right (at least in this case). Photobucket had a weird glitch where it removed the part of the URL that said /library/ when the Fark submission form verified the link. Maybe it's intended to be some kind of protection from creepers looking to get around someone's linked image to see what else what in the bucket. Anyway, when it dropped that, Photobucket didn't recognize the resulting link and it resolved to an error message that the target site was marked private.

Well, since we're all linking our Etsy shops, I might as well too.

2012-11-08 11:26:25 PM
just in case any of you talented Etsy folks have never been, there is a satire site called Regretsy that has fun with some choice Etsy posts, as well as exposes sellers who mark up imported crap while writing puff poof about it.

I'm not claiming that it demonstrates any talent, but I made it. This plumb bob started life as a generic brass cylinder.

It was part of a machine-shop course I took when I was working as a university lab technician. I look forward to the day when I will have a house that permits me to have my own small metal-working shop (possibly based on the Gingery books).

A bit more industrial than most other do-it-yourself projects, but I'm kind of proud of this ugly thing.

I built a little GPS clock that's connected to my computer for 1 microsecond precision timekeeping.

It's ugly as sin, and I'm working on improving it and putting it into a more compact box, but I'm lazy.

I wouldn't go as far as EVAR, but I appreciate the compliment. :)

Give it a try. It's not too difficult if you're halfway handy. Most of the materials are fairly inexpensive depending on what fabric you use and whether you can find a cheap, used backpack frame.

Thank you! I've been working really hard the past three years on this. I've found some AMAZING online mentors. It's been quite a journey!

Well, it's not exactly in the same category, but I'm proud of what we've done anyway. I don't have a terribly current video, but I have made some improvements since, such as bucket-fed drip irrigation, and tearing out the flower box you see in the video, then making it larger and using it to grow lettuce-leaf basil.

Imageshack.us has a free service I think.

I love this thread, you guys are really talented. I don't do anything like that I'm neither artistic nor mechanical. I can play the fiddle sometimes.

I have some CLB art in my living room. I can't find the picture though.

I am bookmarking this one for Christmas gifts and TFSS

Okay I am much better at line-art than acrylic, and many of these are older, but any feedback on how to make them better would be appreciated. The mushroom one is oil pastel, not acrylic, and the santa fe / stucco painting is not done yet but i don't know how to fix it to make it look more real. The butterfly one was part of a canvas for a friend who underwent back surgery. And the pumpkin carving was... go ducks and lemichael james from last year

Imgur is free. There is also a fark artist facebook page. My E is in my P and I'll put you in touch with Clawhammer who admins that site, or of course, you can contact him directly.

Again, PLEASE reach out to Clawhammer or myself to get in touch with the Tfartist facebook group. We are a small group but growing. I've been painting with acrylics for a few years now with no training or classes. VERY recently I've started working with some artists at a successful local gallery...and I'm bursting with ideas and encouragement and oh man.... I have a lot of encouragement to give. Claw and the rest of us in the facebook group are so happy to see new creative people and to offer support. Please join us!
