I've always thought that the casting director was an idiot for casting such short teens to be the Dunphy daughters. By the time my daughter was 14 she was 4 inches taller than her mother. There is no reason at all for both parents to be six or more inches taller than two high school aged daughters. If you've ever been in a middle school you'd know that girls get a growth spurt that starts a year or so before puberty and they hit adult height be age 15. Boys start growing a year or so later and don't reach their full height until age 17.

You have no idea how close you are to the truth. I was sexually active with an adult woman when I was only 13 years old and I never told anyone, because I knew she would get in trouble not because I was threatened or anything. I was not forced into the relationship physically or mentally. She was a teacher who watched me afterschool until my mother got off work. I don't agree I think we have to look at the nature of the relationship to see if there is a victim and not just assume the minor is a victim, because the other member of the relationship is an adult. Like in my above statement I was not a victim and I know of many others both male and female who would report that they were also not victims. I think we like to live in a fantasy world were teenagers are not engaged in sexual activity so we create laws under that assumption. Sex is great and feels great as long as a person is not forced into it. Many of the females that I have spoke with that report themselves as victims have told me that they had not seen themselves as victims until after the relationship was discovered.
