If Coach woulda put him in in the fourth quarter, they would've been state champions. No doubt. No doubt in my mind.

I'm guessing he met the real world ,that generally doesn't give a rip about ex-jocks, so he wanted to go back to a time when he actually mattered. Sad really, but normal people move on.

We have a friend who was a high school football star. Played college ball full athletic scholarship. Phenom. Athlete in two sports. Spectacular condition now. He could easily fit fit in to the high school don a uniform and play HS. He is 5'4" .my 14 year old lineman is bigger than him.

Some Broadway professionals tried this in Ohio. They were found out and blackmailed into joining a singing club. Bit of a scandal all around. Last I heard, Fox bought the rights to make a tv program about it.

I was just thinking about my HS girl friends...

Yeah, I'd be suspicious. The tail I got sophomore year would make for million dollar websites if it had been legal. Although I bet someone has that video on VHS-C.

Or maybe he messed up his chance to play college ball when he graduated from high school and cooked up this scheme to try to get another shot at it.

Perhaps sports administrators can chime in here, but I would hope the high school wouldn't have to give up its wins if it's clear the school officials were totally hoodwinked with standard-looking documents and/or the dude didn't contribute much to those games.

Especially if you are on the football team. Back when I was in HS those guys essentially got away with missed assignments, could wander the halls without passes, got out of classes, etc.

Football was pretty much a sacred cow back then.

Had this happen at my high school, sort of.

New guy on the first day of school, looked upwards of 22 years old. Immediately got nicknamed "Narc".

"Oh, I'm not a narc, I am just a humble transfer student!"

He was built like a refridgerator so everyone encouraged him to go out for football.
He did, played backup middle linebacker, was actually pretty good.

Six weeks into the season, lo and behold, he WAS a narc. Fresh out of the police academy.

We forfeited two games he played in.

So I looked up Hiding Out, remembering that annebeth gish is a very attractive woman, even tho she was 16 in that movie, and saw that Cryers cousin in the movie is a coogan, and looked up and holy crap his grandad was uncle fester and he uncle fester helped to LYNCH someone when he was 18. And that lynching was praised by the governor.

Oh..why did times have to change?
