This better not be about those two shiatbags, Tim & Eric.

I don't know about the author's ridiculous enthusiasm, but I have to admit, this got me curious:

...in one episode of "Beyond Belief", they did a riff on the "Peter Pan" legend, turning Pan into a hand-eating monster, that was one of the best takes on the Pan story I've ever heard.

Being exactly as old as the first Star Wars movie means I want the new ones to remind me of the radio programs that my parent's parent's listened to.

I would support this. I love the Thrilling Adventure Hour. They just finished their kickstarter to put out a comic and a concert film.

Dumpy and Neckbeard? They and "Plinkit" seem to be making hating on Lucas a career so they obviously have a better idea on how to handle the franchise.

I'm surprised anyone seeks some kind of purity in Star Wars after the last three movies. Someone said Rob Zombie would make a good Star Wars movie. I'm inclined to agree - if it's up in the air a star wars horror movie would be great

That depends. There was originally going to be a third trilogy but it was consolidated into Return of the Jedi so there is no third trilogy. The books are bullshiat. They couldn't adapt the books now anyway, everyone's too old. A new movie though with Luke, maybe turned to the Dark Side, I could see a teaser trailer with Mark Hamill firing up a red lightsaber.

Didn't read the article, is it some farking hipster duo? I saw a bunch of hipsters arguing for a Wes Anderson Star Wars and I've been panicking ever since that they will get ahold of it.

Jar Jar Binks and the Ewok adventure.
I think I've got those two ideas beat.

Also, the whole Red Letter Media review thing was ridiculously overrated. It has it's moments, but jeebus dude, relax, it's only a movie.

Goddamn I hate "Thrilling Adventure Hour". I get it, and I see why people enjoy it, but it is completely the opposite of what I think is clever or interesting. I listened to a bunch on a recommendation and it's just a ton of people trying to make a podcast that sounds like a 1940's radio program. I'm not sure why so many people think that is completely amazing, but no f'ing way.

Because things that are obscure and retro are considered cool because it goes against the grain of what is to be expected. Now to cleanse my palate I'm going to go find any news on Michael Bay's chances of directing the new trilogy.

Good for George Lucas for giving everything he made on the deal to charity, but I'm just not interested in Star Wars anymore. Hearing the Harrison Ford could come back, for even a cameo, just makes me think of "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull". Any raging hard-on I had for nostalgia died that day, in that theater.

Whoever writes the script needs to remember that the first three were great because they were simple. Good vs Evil. A handful of main characters. I knew Phantom Menace was doomed when I read the screen crawl. Trade wars and politics and convoluted plots. The simple was gone.
