Tea Party's mantra of uncompromising fiscal conservatism and limited government

Is pure bullshiat. Deficits and limited gubbament only have meaning when there is a Democrat in office.

Didn't the GOP convention basically outlaw the words "Tea Party" from being spoken?

Told me right there what the GOP thinks of me, my ideology, and my values. I've truly grown to loathe what's become of the Republican Party. I've voted exclusively GOP my entire voting life, but they (the GOP leadership) obviously view someone like me more of an enemy than the Dems.

Finally, the right and the left come together in their hatred of the Republican Party. Rot in hell, GOP, for selling yourselves out to the Jesus freaks.

Which is why it came to prominence in 2009, when all of a sudden the national debt which is totes Obama's fault became a huge problem before Obama's budget even passed. Also, Obama caused the financial collapse in 2008 because of his Magical Time Machine.

Of course not. Thats one of the running themes of the teabagger mentality: They are pants wetting scared of Sharia Law, but literally would impose Christian Rule, which is not really all that much better, except for fewer stonings and public floggings. So far.

Everything wrong with the GOP can be found in Rush's transcript from today. Don't use real facts or evidence to support your thoughts, but just make a bunch of shiat up that makes you feel better.

No you Fool! As Citizen Robspierre has told us, the only way we can ever secure freedom and the universal rights of man is to suspend those rights until we have rooted out all the enemies of freedom and weeded the traitors from our midst. Only then can we enjoy the glorious freedom that is our brithright.

Impotent rage meets delusional denial HERE.

"I find I'm so excited that I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it's the excitement only a free man can feel. A free man at a start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain. I hope I can make it across the border. I hope to see my friend and shake his hand. I hope the pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams. I hope. "

Poking around Twitter, the impression I get from the harder-core fundies is that this is God's plan. We all get to suffer for disobeying him.

I love spin:

FTFA:
"Democrats branded Republican rivals for congressional seats as Tea Party extremists bent on destroying Medicare, Social Security, and universal health care and blamed them for the partisan gridlock that has plagued Congress.

Still, a third of Americans view the Tea Party movement favorably, according to a September Washington Post/ABC News poll."

I tell you what I expect .... more voter disenfranchisement laws aimed at suppressing the votes of minorities, poor and young voters with any state that has any GOP muscle at the top (which is a despressing amount of purple, and even blue, states).

Teaparty cost the GOP the Senate for the second election in a row.

All the rapey talked didn't help Mitt try to position himself as a moderate either. It pushed him to the right and could have cost him the election.

The GOP doesn't have the Senate or the Presidency but they have their principles.

Tea Party Candidate: Ah, no, not really, no... I always say, "If you can't laugh, what *can* you do?" Ha-ha-ha-ha (squirts Chris with flower).

Chris Wallace: ...take up politics, perhaps. Has your party got any policies?

Tea Party Candidate: Oh yes, certainly! We're for the compulsory serving of asparagus at breakfast, free corsets for the under-fives, and the abolition of slavery.

Chris Wallace: Now, you see, many Fox viewers would respect your stand on asparagus, but what about this extremist nonsense about abolishing slavery?

Tea Party Candidate: Oh, we just put that in for a joke! See you next year!

Headso: If teabaggers actually cared about reducing the debt they would have pretty broad appeal, but because they are actually the republican base everyone outside of the echo chamber knows they are full of shiat with their ideology.

They claim they care about the debt but they want to attack Iran and spend $10 trillion on another war.

I had this argument with a teabagger uncle a few weeks ago. Someone can either be in favor of reducing the debt, or in favor of going to war with Iran. Not both. It isn't possible to do both. Cut every penny of welfare and PBS and Planned Parenthood funding and it wouldn't put a dent in the cost of another war.

It will be amusing when, after the fiscal cliff, the "fiscally conservative" Teabaggers argue in favor of an unbalanced budget and more debt in order to pay for tax cuts and more spending.

2012-11-07 02:37:13 PM
Interesting how once these clowns got elected in 2010, they focused at the local, state, and national level on three major offensives: repealing ACA, pushing a far-right social agenda, and opposing Obama no matter the issue.

Amazing, even, that. They're so... independent.
