I don't know how the studio-to-studio transmission works, but I'd like to think that Dick sees a full-body shot of Megan in his monitor. She's sitting in her chair, wearing a short skirt, with bare legs and open-toed pumps. Her feet don't quite reach the floor, and she's letting one shoe slooooowly slip down, exposing her smooth arches, until it's just about to fall off, and then she crunches her toes, snapping the shoe back up with a slap against her bare foot. She repeats this over and over. Dick is trying furiously to remember what spin he's putting on the numbers, but oh sweet jesus there she goes again, just another inch and he'd see her whole foot, but no. SNAP. Up goes the shoe again. What was he talking about? Florida. Yeah, that's right, see, only 24% of the precincts are reporting in and oh my god there it goes again, look at those toes, oh how good they'd taste...

When you put cabbage hammer into google, one of the first few results is "Human experimentation in North Korea".

Now, I'm not saying this Krauthammer force-feeds women poisoned cabbage, and saps men with hammers so that doctors can practice surgery on them while they are unconscious. But I am saying there's no proof that he doesn't do this either.

None of the presdiential wins of the past twelve years, with the exception of 2008, can be considered a mandate. The thing is, the repubs have redefined the word mandate to mean "We won by the tinest of margins but a win's a win and we will proceed to do exactly what we pleae whatever the American people thinks of it." By that definition, Obama has a mandate.

Message to the repubs: The big question is: what's next? Will you push the government over the fiscal cliff to punish America for voting against you? Or will you come to your senses and pitch in to make things better? Keep in mind that there will be very little in terms of bipartisan offers coming from the Democrats this time around. We tried that and learned our lesson: there's no point in holding out the hand of friendship to someone determined to be your enemy. This time the terms will be more or less dictated by the Democrats with little room for compromise; take it or leave it. The good news is that the Democrats are grown-ups, ready to make painful changes in programs they hold dear and realistic enough to see the necessity of maintaining programs they find distasteful (that is, after all, why we're still in Afghanistan), all in the name of fiscal responsibility and political realism. Can you do the same? Will you? Because frankly, it's going to happen with or without your participation. You can either come to your senses and rejoin normal political culture, or you can further marginalize yourselves and ultimately cease to exist, or, at best, linger on as a local level parody of what a political party looks like.

Now then, it would be nice if you repubs would all shut the fark up for a couple of days. Mommy and Daddy would like to take a little nap and we've had quite enough of your incessant whining. Last time we were too busy saving the country from your incompetence and fiscal malfeasance to deal with your properly but we're done coddling you. If it's a spanking you want, it's a spanking you'll get.

Now go stand in the corner and think about what you did.

The Freepers are fun today. This is being used to rally the troops:

"I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West!" From the movie 'The Return of the King'

Obama is Sauron, I guess, except that when Karl Rove bit off Mitt Romney's finger, he only found a Ring Pop.

zedster: Republican Math:
2004: 286 EV with 50.7% of popular vote (Kerry got 48.3%) = Mandate
2012: 300 EV with 50.3% of the popular vote (Romney got 48.1%) ≠ Mandate
Additionally, Gary Johnson got 1% of the vote, which can most likely be attributed to upset right wing voters, and Jill Stein .3% which is lower then Nader in 2008 who had .56% of the vote.

CygnusDarius: A blog is already compiling the best bits of derp in right-wing blogs. So far here's my favorite:

It's time for the people who make this country work to put up or shut up. It's time to make the deadbeats feel some pain IMHO.

1) Minimize your spending. Take your savings out of the economy and hide it as best as you can.
2) In the same vein, take as much of your economic activity to the black market / cash only market as you can.
3) If you are thinking about closing your business down, go ahead
4) If you are keeping your business running, take a strong look at who you are hiring and firing (ie consider firing minorities and single women)
5) If you are a doctor begin limiting your patients or only take cash payments.
6) If you produce food (farmers) consider reducing your output to drive up prices and help Michelle O. with her fight on fat.
7)Do not associate, coach, elevate, or help in any way those who trend Democrat. This includes charities or even your own family.
8)If you are working hard to try and get ahead. Stop - enjoy your life and family while you still can.
9) Do not associate with liberal bastions such as schools, colleges, and the entertainment industry. Consider homeschooling your kids.
10) Move to a red state and start pushing for secession.
11) Military members near retirement should retire; make the Democrats fight the next war.

Please please please PLEASE! By all means, all you Freeptards must go Galt. I can't even imagine what a better place this country would be with the whole lot of you off the grid and living in a Red State shiathole. Go Go GO!!!!

Grungehamster: The best is Dick Morris. He went into last night predicting Romney would win 325 to 213, and he called this potential result a landslide victory. Now he's written his review of the election in what looks like a 332 to 206 result (Obama is ahead in Florida with most of the outstanding vote in Miami-Dade), and he categorizes it as Obama pulling off a squeaker.

Amazing what you will believe when you're getting paid to spout it.

The Iconoclast: GAT_00: Don't expect the GOP for a second to recognize that the voters picked the Democrats. They're going to go further to the right and become even more intransigent if they can.

There will be no movement to end the Bush tax cuts for the rich so they will expire for everyone. The fiscal cliff will end with the automatic cuts. And we still have a farm bill that will never get passed, Medicare payments to doctors which will never get passed and we hit a deficit ceiling in March.

The GOP is going to block every single one of those, mark my words.

I would think that if they try this they will be slaughtered in the mid-terms.

If they knew how to run a political party then they would currently be in charge of the White House and the Senate.

they facefarked themselves with their own dick.

Anybody remember in the Old Testament, when Pharaoh was more than happy to free the Jews, but God "hardened his heart" so that he could demonstrate his wrath and power?

I'm not a particularly pious man, but as a scientist, that's my professional conclusion, because it's the only thing that makes any farking sense anymore. These self-righteous bozos are willing to throw this country over a cliff--not to be proven right, but to keep the other guy from being right. There is absolutely no reason for these Republican hard-line tactics from a political perspective. In fact, most of the far right Tea Partiers and rape-lovers were thrown out, and their derp cost them the Presidency.

But they just can't see it. So, I'm going with God, and warning against a storm of wrath of Biblical proportions.
