This is pretty much exactly what I was thinking when watching Fox News (post-Ohio) last night. I particularly liked Krauthammer's "As a psychiatrist, I'll write you prescriptions for whatever drugs you want" comment, and Megyn Kelly's classic "Well, as a lawyer, I'd advise you not to do that" followup.

For someone who only ever watches Fox News and is told how it was in the bag for Romney by Rove, Dick Morris, etc. I can only imagine the confusion as the results came in last night. Like some nightmare they couldn't wake from. Glorious.

And Karl Rove. Turd Blossom himself, purveyor of the long game for the Republican machine, forced to be very much in the moment and utterly small by trying to keep that false reality flickering for a few moments more as Ohio was being called for Obama. You lose! You get nothing! Good day, sir!

My favorite moment was when Greta Van Susteren was trying to get Sarah Palin to help with the spin:

Greta: "Clearly, this election does not give President Obama a mandate, don't you agree?"
Sarah: "Well, Greta, it's the win that counts"

That went on for 2-3 more iterations until Greta finally gave up and sent it back to the Fox funeral parlor.

Can't stand the markup at bars.

When I turned 21 friends took me out to a place just off campus, PK Pizza. This being a college down, every place on main street is a bar/grill/restaurant and most of them had very good food. Waitress came up, rattled out their current alcohol specials, and at the end "Oh, and our main beer special tonight is bottles of Sam Adams for $2.50 a bottle." And I thought to myself, "Wait, isn't Sam Adams currently $5.59 a six pack at Kroger? How the fark is tripling the price a farking special? You whore!"

I'm bracing for the UN invasion of Texas, as predicted by Lubbock County Judge Tom Head back in August:

"I'm thinking the worst," Head told a local Fox affiliate. "Civil unrest, civil disobedience, civil war maybe. And we're not just talking a few riots here and demonstrations, we're talking Lexington, Concord, take up arms and get rid of the guy."
If Obama wins, Head intoned, he'll "hand over sovereignty of the United States to the U.N." and then call in United Nations troops to keep order.
"You know, the ones wearing the little blue beanies," he pointed out.
"I don't want 'em in Lubbock County. OK," he made clear. "So I'm going to stand in front of their armored personnel carrier and say 'you're not coming in here.'"

You want grief? Check out the "Words of Wisdom" E-mail our office received this morning... Keep in mind I'm the 'only blue' in this blood-red Texas small-business:

Because I know most of you are Republicans, and are probably still in shock after the events of last night, I thought it important that I offer a few words of "wisdom":

Even though the president we will have for the next four years is not considered pro-business, we, as a company and team, have already proven that we can excel in such an environment. What we need to do now is leave the gloom and doom behind us, and focus even harder on the things we can control. Things like the commitment, effort, diligence and pride we put in the work we do every day. These are the things that got us where we are, and these are the same things that will continue to make us successful through the next four years (and beyond) regardless of what the macro economy does. In closing, I would say good luck, but luck has nothing to do with it. We make our own luck by the hard work we put into our lives, families and careers...we just need to keep working hard, albeit maybe a little harder than before...

CNN's coverage was ridiculous. They just refused to call states for Democrats when all republican precincts were in and Dem were still reporting, but Obama was up.

it got so bad that they ended up calling it for Obama when their map had only like 200 votes for him. And i'm sure they did it because Fox just called it.

The best part of the CNN campaign was them showing some major US cities celebrating... Chicago, New York, Boston.... KENYA!!!!!

I had Fox news on all night (while simultaneously following the various threads here). The blonde woman is really cute, and they called many states for Obama surprisingly early. It was hilarious to watch Rove try to find a way for Ohio, even after Fox themselves called it and even after the chick walked down the hall and interviewed their own statisticians who defended the call for Obama. I'll not be going back there today, because literally the FIRST WORD of the show after the election segment was "Benghazi", but I will probably go back in 2014 for the mid-terms.
