This is what scares me. You will always have crazies, but to hear sentiments like this from prominent businessmen and "news" sources is just scary and disheartening. Not liking the outcome != sham election.

I never thought I would say this, but last night when the co-anchor was asked to trot down the hall, microphone in hand, to reconcile their decision room's call with Rove's long-outdated numbers, knowing all the while that Rove was in a heated discussion with Romney's advisors about postponing the concession speech, I was honestly embarrassed for Fox News.

Yeah, FOX hosts spouting off racist sentiments is hardly worth even noting at this point.

Rove looked like a man caught between a rock and a hard place last night. Like he knew Shelly Adelson had some old school goons waiting out back for him after the interview.

It was pretty surreal to watch; he was having a meltdown and the pundits were urging the people who projected the win to reconsider it. This was somehow better than 2008 where Karl Rove predicted that we'd know who the next president would be once Ohio was called, with the host interrupting to announce that Obama won Ohio leaving Rove with a stunned look on his face. I'd suggest someone shoop Rove's head on the "It's still real to me, dammit!" guy's picture, but I'm afraid no one could tell the difference.

Megyn Kelley goes wandering down the halls at Fox with a steadicam in tow, blithering about "the last time we practiced this (!) we lost audio juuusst about here...", then gets to the math wonks room where they patiently explain how statistics work and how there is statistically zero chance that Obama loses Ohio. Then she wanders back up and Rove is sputtering like a '77 Harley with a tank of bad gas about how it's inappropriate for Fox to be calling Ohio this early ANYWAY.

Precisely. While I know they willingly work for Fox News, I was embarrassed for the two statisticians who were put on air (from all appearances) unexpectedly. Simply because the "former" political advisor (and not a professional broadcaster) couldn't handle reality sinking in.

Watching them (including Rove, of all people) later on last night bemoan the Obama campaign and all the money that was spent, the negativity, how they felt Romney was unfairly characterized as a person and his past, how they felt Obama was too divisive was beyond surreal

Yes. That part was jaw-dropping. They also pretty much threw Romney under the bus for "letting Obama define who he was".

Hey 45% of women who went for Romney: you just got told you aren't the equals and partners of white males, but rather are no better than a black or an hispanic. You don't sit at their table, you sit with the rest of the country.

Now, I'm not lumping all republicans together, and obviously 45% of female voters didn't vote that way because they want to follow their husband's commands like he in turn follows god's. When Rove made the comment they had given him numbers saying there was only a 900 vote difference between the two, with 20% left to be tallied. All he did was say that it was too close to call so soon. When they came back and gave him the up to date numbers he agreed with the. So what's the big deal?
