Just concede, dude. It's over. I know you've been running for president your whole life and this is the closest you will ever get to achieving that dream but sometimes you've just got to let go. Yeah it sucks that your dad's ghost is probably super disappointed in you but you can't change things now. You're making things more awkward than they need to be.

Walker: vrax: LOL, the Freepers are on insta-melt right now. hahahaha...

They're going batsh*t crazy! ROFL lovin' it.

It's both amusing and depressing. From a psychological standpoint, it's interesting to see them call Obama and Clinton "divisive" while simultaneously saying things like

"As per my original post weeks ago, we hired a liberal deliberately so we can fire him once Odumbo wins. Well, because I'm a man of my word, this puke will be fired at the end of the day.... It will make me feel good as every liberal's misery is my happiness"

And they wonder why more and more people are turning away from their party.

Ronin_S: Okay, I'm going to bed now. Obama's won, Nate Silver called it and Florida. I can wait until tomorrow to hear Romney, if he even has the balls to give a concession before sunrise.

I'm not relaxing until he sends the lawyers home.

CNN called Obama like an hour ago.

I was going the websites' main page only. Yes, CNN did call it a while ago.

Once again, the US shows the rest of the world how to handle a change (or in this case not) of power. My only hope is the Republican party learns from this and jettisons the crazies and fundies and Tea Partiers making them a laughing stock. I'm an independent and vote Democratic because the Republican party has strayed so far from its ideals it is insane. I would like a choice on election day, I really do, but the GOP gives me none. I would not vote for anyone who sees American through such a filter of hate.

Mrs. Beasley: I was in a restaurant tonight where they had the election coverage going on in the bar. Every time there was a cheer, I went into the bar and asked what was going on.

Then I started to cry...because...WE WON.

We farking WON.

Probably the best election results since I got the vote when I was 18...in 1972...and I have voted in every goddamn single election since then.

If "people" tell you your vote doesn't matter, just whoop them upside the head and tell them to go to Hell. We WON. We won because we didn't buy into R-money's flip-flopping, lies, and Karl Rove's beaucoup bucks trying to buy this election.

Hear me well. I'm 62 years old and cried when the results came in.

And, in our state, Marriage Equality passed, by a huge margin! My daughter and her partner of 8 years can now get married!

(As Mother of the Bride, I say we're going to have a HUGE party.) Yes.

Thank you to EVERYONE who voted. Those who didn't...you don't get to biatch. You are losers.

My daughter, her partner, me, and the rest of the country thank you for your votes. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I love you all. For forever.

Awesome!

And congrats to your daughter.

About time to throw old Mitt on the pile of republican ex candidates and presidents that the wingers hate.

I dont see it happening. A whole lot of derp out there. Plus, ok, it isn't like most states were a curb stomp 70/30 win for the Dems. I think the derpers will if anything think they didn't derp hard enough, and Mitt was a RINO candidate.

On the other hand the moment downtown Seattle heard it called for Obama, spontaneous cheers went up from every bar within earshot. Its like the Rose Bowl win down here.

Mouldy Squid: Congratulations. We Canadians are happy for you. Perhaps now you can arrest your slide into idiocy and theocracy.

You know, we keep trying. Maybe this time we actually made a difference. Don't give up on us, please. My family emigrated from Canada (Quebec...maybe that doesn't count?) in the 1800s. If R-Money had won, I would have taken advantage of our family's roots and done the immigration thing. Thankfully, we don't have to!

I love my country, but I hate politicians. I want a Queen/King and Parliament. I'm sick of going through two years of "electioneering" in a President's first term just to get a second term. You guys have done it the right way. But we're stuck with a "two-party system" and that's why we will NEVER have the option you do.

Link.

This really is the year of Nate Silver. Not only are people following races, but they're closely following his following of the races.

While I love Nate, you know what this means right? The next cycle is going to entirely focus on buying Silver off, discrediting Silver, or marginalizing him in some other way.

The latter has started already. See: Republicans' smear

To everyone in America that voted for human decency and ethical and responsible governance, and against greed, hate, arrogance, sociopathy and cruelty, THANK YOU.

Bless you all.

The Romneybot can compute more probabilities than you mere humans can. According to the Romneybot's calculations there still is a statistical chance. The Romneybot won't concede until there is no statistical probability of loss.

Either that or the Romneybot does not compute.

SuperNinjaToad: The saddest part about the Republican party is once all the butthurt is over they will NOT learn from their mistakes.
They lost because of their extremist views PERIOD!!!
I'm afraid that instead of moving closer to the center to stay competitive, they will instead become even more extremist and move even further to the right!!

Yes, of course. And then they will go extinct like the Whigs and the dodos.

As a Canadian I wasn't sure which feed to watch. I got hooked in by CNN's touch-screens, Empire State Building colours, and of course James Carville (dude cracks me up). They also seem to have a good balance of Dems and Republicans on their panel. The guy working the touch-screens (don't know his name) was particularly good at keeping on top of everything.

I don't know why they haven't called VA. State Board of Elections have had 100% reporting for half an hour almost, with Obama with a 60,000+ lead.
