Hell, if it were just that easy I would have done it a while ago. Been trying to find a job in Calgary or near Whistler for a couple years now.

"if my candidate don't win, I'll leave the country"

Sadly you never hear Republicans saying that.

Not so. You might remember after the 2008 election people from Alaska, Texas, and South Carolina were talking about seceding.

Yes, Republicans tend to use correct grammar.

You pretty much need a desperately needed skill or $150,000. With 150k you can get citizenship, some spent on paperwork, the rest just sitting in your account showing you have money.

When I learned the facts I realized that not matter how much I wish otherwise, I will never be a Canadian citizen. Ever. Being from Texas doesnt help much either I suppose.

I mean, I have a lot of female Canadian friends, I could always green-card marry 'em (or whatever color cards they have up there...I guess queen-colored?) for the time being or something.

I need to go Canadian-dating. I think there used to be a dating website called "Marry a Canadian" but I don't know if it's around anymore.

I feel bad for people whose whole personal happiness is dependant on who is president.

It was pretty fun going in to work today. All of the Norwegians came in shouting "gratulerer!" (congratulations) to the three Americans in the firm. The didn't realize that one of us voted for Romney. He was veeeeeeeeeeeery quiet this morning :)

Yeah, it is kind of funny. Here in Belgium everyone seems to be very congratulatory regardless of whether or not they know my political leaning. I even had an elementary school aged kid ask me yesterday if I was happy that Obama won. Kind of a funny day yesterday.
