NV will be sending a new Senator as well, Heller will replace Berkley. But I don't think that was subby's meaning.

Anyone involved with Bush's administration is bad. It's a non-starter.

Subby you are a f*ckin' idiot.

And Green?

Somebody going to fix the headline?

The take home message from this article seems to be he was annointed by the Democrats just because he supports immigration reform.

But Carmona hasn't always been cast in such a positive light. Upon his nomination for U.S. surgeon general, a 2002 Los Angeles Times story portrayed Carmona as belligerent and difficult to work with, digging into his tenure at Tucson Medical Center.

so the L.A. times is saying that Puerto Ricans shouldn't hold public office?

I happily voted for Carmona this morning. F U Flake.

So the worst they can say about the guy was that he was a jerk as a boss? How does that make him different than any other senator?

I voted for Carmona, but I'm not very optimistic about his chances.

This the woman from the democratic convention? i saw her and thought to myself she'd win any election forever. Including her with Elizabeth Warren, we have 2 "perfect" democrats running.

Carmona served as a Special Forces medic in Vietnam and earned two Purple Hearts and two Bronze Stars.

Pfft. He probably faked all of those wounds and rescues like his good buddy, John "The Poodle" Kerry. I don't see why I should be supporting someone just for being a troop, when I can vote for a career politician who has REAL experience running things.

I've met some of these troops personally, and I can assure you that they are no more impressive than any other functionary of a large organization. Many of these troops are in New York right now trying to organize the communities up there. I ask you, would you want to be led by a community organizer with no political experience?

Listen, Doctor-lady, Santa Claus is not going to be happy when he finds the bowling-lane-smoother is gone. Calgone and his lobster-men will try and take you away, and it's up to aerobics instructors and the chunkheads who love them to approach speeds of 3 in attempts to throw them off railings.

If, at some point, you meet a trauma surgeon that is pleasant, humble, and easy to get along with I suggest you check the temperature in hell, because satan is getting frostbite.

I voted for Stein, Carmona and Penzone, mostly because they remind me of beer and calzones.

Not sure if it made fark (been offline moving to Phoenix the past couple days -- looking for a gig if anyone is hiring construction engineers) but Flake (R)'s office actually robocalled registered democrats with incorrect polling information. Shady. And, of course, what are the authorities doing about it?

"No decision has yet been made as to whether or not an investigation will result from this referral,"

Guess it depends on how powerful Flake is in the months after the election.

On a side note, I graduated high school with Carmona's son. Wasn't close friends with the dude but he was always a nice guy. Think I saw him at our ten year reunion last year and recalled him being a good chap.

Yeah, we got the same thing here in Nebraska. Except we can either vote for a war vet and experienced politician in Bob Kerrey, or Deb Fischer... someone Sarah Palin basically pushed through the Primaries.

I will weep for this state if we add to the Tea Party in the Senate.

I voted Obama, Carmona and Penzone. I think getting one of them would be good, two will be a great night. Three and I will be naked and drunk on Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd at Midnight.

I knew one. Didn't even get through surgical residency before he switched to family medicine.

Apparently, being an asshole is a prerequisite for a trauma surgeon.

Senators are all from the same Party, since Wellstone at least. Good thing his plane crashed, what a fly in the corporate ointment.
