This is why I always vote by mail - unless I see a black man on the way to the Post Office, then I go home and lie down for a couple of days before I try again.

IF YOU LIVE NEAR THIS EVENT:

I beg of you, do one of three things- rush out and buy some helium balloons, make a 'Free Hugs' sign, or grab a puppy from your local shelter and bring it down to this guy. Fox will have a camera on him all day- what would be hilarious is if he's handing out balloons, hugs, and kitty pets to voters coming and going, as a demonstration of how intimidating he is.

The Lutherans at my polling place gave me cookies and coffee. Clearly they were trying to induce a heart attack so that I would be prevented from voting. I'm on to their nefarious, deliciously home baked scheme!

If you watch the video, you notice that he opens it, but doesn't hold it open. He lets it go in an attempt to knock them out as they walk through.

VIOLENCE!

I notice the mod-mins aren't greenlighting the news that:

Democrat threatens poll observer with firearm and Detroit PD refuses to take the call

Multiple poling stations are displaying obama campaign material

Poling stations manned by democrats in "vote obama" gear.

Democrats assault Court ordered observers and physically force them from polling station

No bias...........

Timmy spent the night in the abandon Marcus mansion!  They say it's haunted!

*mouths open in awe*

Oh yeah, Billy went to a local school and walked right by a black man in a beret to cast his ballot!

ilikeracecars: OK, I know nothing good ever comes from starting a sentence I'm not racist but...
If that was a white guy wearing the same exact thing, I'd feel a little bit intimidated. OK, I'd feel more intimidated actually, since the white guys that dress like that are militia idiots.

Y'know the white guy who collects shopping carts in the Target parking lot wears camo pants with a web belt, combat boots and camo cap. He intimidates no one.

Just yesterday a Hispanic man on my block was frantically loading the back of his truck up with the neighborhood's possessions, food, clothes, water, basically everything he could grab.

(He was taking the stuff to Staten Island for the people that were screwed over by Sandy)

My polling place has black men and women with billy clubs in quasi-military garb at the front door too.

They are police officers.

Wulfman: Oh damn, you're right. He said "American serviceman" and not someone in paramilitary uniform, I confused my Farkers. I guess that makes the "internet" part of ITG disappear and it might also make me a racist. Also whoever was said to be a candy ass is definitely a candy ass now, in real life away from the internets. And he shouldn't vote.

thurstonxhowell: Wulfman: Aarontology: wellreadneck: I wouldn't be happy having to walk past an American serviceman to cast my vote, much less some guy who's signed up to battle for his personal cause, whatever it might be.

Then you're just a candy ass.

And candy asses should STFU and leave the voting to the ITGs, amirite? USA! USA!

Having the courage to walk past a person makes one an ITG now? Holy shiat! I must have walked past dozens of people this morning. Some of them were even black! I must have the biggest set of brass balls in the world!

A black kid rang me up at Target a few days ago and I didn't piss myself.

You could hear my gigantic brass balls clanging together from England.

Jim_Callahan: What's up with the badged beret? Is that a specific badge for something or is the dude just intentionally trolling Fox News by cosplaying as generic black militia dude?

organizmx: This is why I'm glad I live in New Jersey. I walk in, there's never any lines at all because we have plenty of places to vote for everyone, tell them my name, sign a paper, then vote. 2 minutes tops, noone hanging out, bothering anyone, two forms of ID, or anything.

What the hell is wrong with you people?

Yea but swimming to your polling location is a pain.

Political correctness now dictates that I not be discomfited by a man in a paramilitary uniform outside a polling place just because he's black? Screw that.

What constitutes "patrolling"? Is it anything like the annoying Republican volunteer I saw this morning loudly trying to pick a fight with the Democratic volunteer over the presence of non-partisan poll watchers from the Virginia State Bar? Because he bothered me a lot more than a couple of dudes loitering and minding their own business.

You're just making shiat up now.

COFFEE!?

Since Mormons can't drink caffeine, this is obviously a plot by OBAMA AND HIS THUGS to get you to vote for Obama.

MORMONS 2012! WOO!

brigid_fitch: Why the FARK would you open yourself up to ANOTHER 4+ years of criticism?

Psst...any criticism of Fox News is replied with fingers stuck in their ears shouting "LALALALALALA :LAMESTREAM MEDIA LALALALALALALA"

This isn't intimidation, however loitering directly outside the door of a polling place isn't a reasonable behavior for anyone who is not actively assisting in the election in an official capacity. If they want to watch and be sure nothing strange is happening, fine, but do it from a bit farther away.
