Like Ohioans and wish them the best.

However if they go red, hope Lake Erie and the Ohio River join forces and flood the state, locusts eat their crops, and packs of wild dogs eat their young.

Likes Ohioans.

How about instead we just pull an old bomber out of the Air Force Museum and take out your neighborhood instead? I favor using the P-61 Black Widow to strafe your house, but I'm old school like that.

I'm not that important.....

This Ohioan voted for Obama, so I did my part.

Except that they can't actually swing the vote for Romney (it's Obama's election to lose) unless either the other five highest-population states in play go red, or one of the other high-population states goes blue and every single other state in play goes red.

So... they're not really any of those things in the headline.

//Also... most important election? Really? I am dubious at best.

That seemed well written but I don't care enough about Ohio to read it all.

I don't have high hopes. We did vote in the current Governor.

Voted anyway and hope for a Mittens free next four.

Ohio checking in. Chill out everybody, we got this.

I voted this morning in a rural precinct of a evenly divided red/blue county. The place was packed at 6:30 when they opened, and everyone was smiling. Large turnout and happy voters usually mean good news for the incumbent. I've taken off tomorrow because, one way or another, I know I'll be too hungover to get any work done.

Oh, and my polling place is using the optical scan paper ballots, so that's nice.

Ohio is where the nation goes to party.

Remember when that river in Cleveland was ON FIRE??? That was awesome.

I can see 2004 - middle of two wars, war on terror expanding, the Bush push of a caste system, poor world view of the US, China rising to prominence in the world.
I can see 2008 - global financial melt down, Sarah Palin, transitioning to a longer game on the terror front, winding down wars...

But is 2012 REALLY the most important election of our time? Compared to 2008? Really?

Can't speak for other counties, but my county's voting machines now have a paper printout that you verify before it casts your ballot. That was a nice change.

Yet another Ohioan here who woke up early this morning and voted Obama.

It's gonna be a long day though, I still got a few polling places to hit up before I've done my part.

You guys from Ohio warm my heart. It's my home state and I'm always proud to say that. But dear Goddess, can we get a state government reform any time soon? Even our Senators are horribly corrupt at times. (Ney being the last one I can remember)

There is a redistricting initiative on the ballot yoday, but I fear the $$$ against it has doomed it to fail.

Favorite quote from the article:

Last Tuesday, the wind raised twenty-foot waves on Lake Erie, stripped siding from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, cut power to 250,000 homes and businesses. Pieces of old Municipal Stadium that were sunk in Lake Erie launched ashore. There's a Cleveland image for you. Artifacts of the city's past are so disagreeable the Great Lakes violently vomit them back up.

The lake was the second biggest reason I moved back to Ohio, family being first.

King's Island hasn't been owned by Paramount for quite some time. They had to change the names on many of the rides when the park changed hands... Face/Off became Invertigo, Outer Limits became Flight of Fear, Top Gun became Flight Deck, etc...

There used to be Klingons walking around all the time, too.. they actually had to learn the Klingon language. A friend-of-a-friend actually went up to a couple and held a conversation with them in Klingon-ese..

wait.. what were we talking about?
