Do you recommend Halo 4 or Mass Effect Trilogy?

i just played Mass Effect for the first time- it's freaking great - though the main plot line is kinda short - i completed it & didn't realize the game just ended (was hoping to be able to still bump around and do misc. tasks - but no... unless i'm missing something)

will probably play through again & from what i understand, you get to progress the same character into Mass Effect 2 & 3 - which is super cool.

halo is halo - awesome, but getting pwned by 10 year olds with squeaky voices and a list of curse words longer than you can imagine can get old.

Mass Effect isn't really short per se... and it's very obvious you've reached the end when you have. If there wasn't any "closure" involving the Council and the Citadel, you might have missed something.

***spoiler of old ass game***

i'm pretty sure i reached the end - the credits rolled

& then it said i unlocked levels 51-80 (i think) & something like "hardcore" difficulty

does that mean i can continue or do i have to start over with a new character?

Yeah if you reached the credits it's done. It just didn't strike me as short but then again I'm OCD so I visited all the little asteroids and got all the secrets, plus played the DLC.

PanicMan: redqueenmeg: PanicMan: redqueenmeg: PanicMan: Gay casinos for Maryland!

Those are the two main ballot questions. Gay marriage and another casino.

Got that. I was trying to make a joke. I failed.

However, I am determined to succeed at something today. I am going to go find a cat to hug.

Oh sorry, I wasn't sure, today it is hard to tell. Here was my original joke response:

"I always do!"

Implying that I'm gay and go to casinos. Neither of which is true. But I supported both. But that's not really very funny response, so I went for the serious response.

Maryland my Maryland!
Gay casino marriages for everyone!

verbaltoxin: killershark: Car_Ramrod: Giuliani just said on CNN that Benghazi is the most important issue in this election.

Which begs the question: WHY THE FARK IS GIULIANI STILL ALLOWED ON TV?

He was on MSNBC earlier saying FEMA's lack of response to Sandy was the most important issue. And yes, he brought up 9/11. Apparently, he did much better making sure FEMA responded properly to the attacks that affected Lower Manhattan than Obama has done with Sandy affected several states. Oh, and Obama's response to Sandy was worse than Bush's response to Katrina. Oh, and Staten Island feels a bit like New York's red-headed stepchild but Giuliani always made sure the borough knew he loved them when he was mayor. Apparently, Giuliani has learned quite a bit about flip flopping and lying from Romney this year.

I remember when Giuliani was still mayor, appearing on SNL, and people were like, "Run for President? Why not?"

Giuliani hit his high point when he vowed to appoint a special task force to investigate falsified non-fat yogurt.

In ME1, once you goto Virmire, you're locked into the third act.

ME2 was great. The best part to me was the subsequent replays:

"What if I didn't recruit so and so until x-mission?"
"Given what I know about so and so, what if I took them to x-place?"

They spent a *lot* of time fleshing out combinations and permutations of characters and missions that people might miss if they just did a one-and-done. And to alleviate tedium on subsequent replays, one can just get a save game editor and stock up on the tedious materials parts of the game.

Dude, Wreck it Ralph is the best thing Disney has made in years. Flipping fantastic movie. PLUS the short that they have in the beginning makes it totally worth the annoying previews.

Without giving the story away at all, let's just say that Pixar's management and story direction has started to bleed its way over into Disney (finally). There are some very mature points in the movie (not mature as in adult and inappropriate, but tough moral dilemmas) that simply aren't the "disney pandering" we've gotten so used to. The room got dusty at points. Plus it has Sonic the Hedgehog AND QBert!

Yeah - Giulliani has been doing interviews all day stumping for Romney. I caught him on MSNBC first thing this morning saying with a straight face that Obama handled Sandy worse than Bush handled Katrina. He was going off on that and Libya on Fox this afternoon. Believing that Libya is the most important issue of this race, and therefore we should hand the reigns of foreign policy over to a guy with zero foreign policy experience is absurd and delusional. If both hurricanes weren't such tragedies, the statement that the response to Sandy was somehow worse than to Katrina would be laughable. Espousing both of these things makes Rudy look like a partisan clown without a shred of relevance left. It's sad.

I am hoping that he rides off into the sunset along with Romney after the latter gets an electoral beatdown this evening.

scubamage: xenophon10k: Anarchangel: Hey look, a voting machine turning an Obama vote into a Romney vote. Confirmed by NBC News.

But yeah, your vote totally means something.

Oh, FFS. It was a poorly calibrated touchscreen. It didn't change the vote. It wasn't like Obama was actually selected on screen, and then the machine flipped it to Romney. They tapped Obama, and it selected Romney. If they had tapped the button for Jill Stein, Obama would have been selected.

So, yes it should be taken out of service, but let's not attribute to malice that which can be adequately be explained by a poll worker messing up the settings. Hell, I'm amazed the damn things work at all, given the average technical expertise on display at most polling places.

Seriously - when is the last time you have had to calibrate a touchscreen? When we were using them in medical environments in 2000 we didn't need to calibrate them - you ran them at their normal resolution and they "just worked." The last touchscreen I've actually had to calibrate was back in the late 90's, and that was on a windows CE phone.

And based on his troubleshooting "miscalibration" doesn't seem to be correct. If it was, when he pressed on the Jill Stein button, it should have registered for Obama (screen miscalibrated on the Y axis). In his case he had to go push a nonsensical area of the screen to get it to work for Obama, while all other buttons worked correctly. That doesn't sound like a miscalibration to me - does it sound like one to you? When you have a cartesian plane defined in software (calibrated), you don't suddenly lose a section of it and place it somewhere else on the plane - the whole plane shifts.

Proably depends on the type of glass tech. We have to calibrate our anesthesia monitors monthly as they "drift". We also have to calibrate our touch screen tablets used for home health every time they are reimaged. Extreme temp variations can cause drift as well. (i.e. storing the machines in a cool/cold area, then bringing them into a warm room)
