This. I was told that I hate America in my high school because I didn't support Iraq.

In Louisiana, I figure my vote for Obama is about as futile as a vote for the Green party... so I voted for the Green party.

Headso: If you are in MA remember to vote for medical marijuana and the die with dignity law. I heard a story on NPR the other day about how the medical law was pretty much a shoe in but the die with dignity law was a toss up and I was thinking it was odd that you have people who support medical pot but don't support die with dignity law.

But if I vote for the death with dignity law then people could choose to die in their own homes, without a doctor and without being in a hospital!

NeoCortex42: Car_Ramrod: Giuliani just said on CNN that Benghazi is the most important issue in this election.

Which begs the question: WHY THE FARK IS GIULIANI STILL ALLOWED ON TV?

He was on Fox News earlier talking about how Obama's response to Sandy was a complete and total mess and proves that Obama can't handle the job.

A Noun, A Verb and Sandy.

JusticeandIndependence: Blue_Blazer: I made a bet with both my boss and my dad.
If Romney wins, I have to detail my boss's car and I cannot ever bring up W to my dad.
When Obama wins, my boss will detail my car, and my dad cannot ever mention Benghazi to me.

Nice bet. Will they follow through? will you?

I think they will yeah. I certainly will.
Of course in the bet with dad, it's not like the loser won't have plenty of other stuff to biatch about, but we both picked the thing that has been annoying us the most lately.

inner ted: Fark Griswald: inner ted: Fark Griswald: FinFangFark: Tor_Eckman: In case anyone cares, Halo 4 is quite good so far.

I hate you...I have it sitting at my gaming desk at home...ready to go.

I haven't played Halo since Halo 2

I've never played Mass Effect.

Do you recommend Halo 4 or Mass Effect Trilogy?

Discuss

i just played Mass Effect for the first time- it's freaking great - though the main plot line is kinda short - i completed it & didn't realize the game just ended (was hoping to be able to still bump around and do misc. tasks - but no... unless i'm missing something)

will probably play through again & from what i understand, you get to progress the same character into Mass Effect 2 & 3 - which is super cool.

halo is halo - awesome, but getting pwned by 10 year olds with squeaky voices and a list of curse words longer than you can imagine can get old.

/on topic - haven't voted yet
//booga booga booga

Yes I used to LOVE Halo but I had to give it up when I got a PS3 instead of a 360 some 5 or 6 years ago. Well I recently got a 360 anyway and played the Mass Effect 3 demo and loved it. I still love Halo but being able to play through the whole Mass Effect story right away just seems super sexy.

/I voted early a week ago to beat the rush.
/If R-Money actually manages to win it'll be a sad day in 'merica

sorry bout your time with the ps3 - glad you saw the light (just kidding - kinda)

i heard that Mass Effect 2 is supposed to be better than the first (which was freaking awesome to me - but i also loved SWKOTOR)

but that Mass 3 was a bit of a let down - not sure bout that though

as for Halo - i suppose it would be kind of epic to play all of them - from Combat Evolved (easily the best story IMHO) all the way through Reach (meh) & now Halo 4

i played them all (except 4.. yet) and they are pretty sweet - the campaign was pretty weak in Reach but the multiplayer was fun enough

blah blah blah --- o ya

voting

Mass Effect 3's ending is what made people upset. The last 15 minutes specifically. With the new "Extended Cut" download, ALOT of the logistical things are covered.

If you liked 1, Buy 2 for sure and wait for 3 to be in the $30-$35 used range. 2used at your local mom and pop game store should only be about $20.

imontheinternet: Doing the right thing is pulling your head out of the sand, looking at the differences between the candidates, which are real and easy to find, and then making a decision based on which candidate shares your views. Waiving off the candidates by saying, "they're all the same and corrupt anyway" is a cop-out. Full stop.

You want to know the "cop-out"? It is everyone who equates "both sides are undesirable" or "I don't match up well with either party" with "both sides are the exactly the same". Far too many use that to waive off valid concerns about "your" candidate. LOL objectively false! It's bullshiat. We're not saying they're "the same" except in how we find them both undesirable.

The Irresponsible Captain: Frankly, I'd be shocked if this is wrong. Oh, I'm not saying it's impossible for Romney to win. It's possible. It's just highly improbable.

Currently the Intrade Odds are: Obama-72.0 Romney-29.6
Frankly, that shows a lot of confidence.

In my mind, the big question is does Obama carry Virginia and therefore the result is called early, or does Virginia remain a toss-up until the last minute. Perhaps it even turns out solid Romney. Either of the last two scenario will make it a long night waiting for results, and I thoroughly expect a long night coming.

This isn't like 2008 where Obama has it wrapped up in a pretty ribbon, he's fighting for the vote this year.

The chance of a quick, decisive call that would signal the end of the race, like Virginia for Obama, are virtually zero. Even if all the data is there three seconds after the polls close, the networks aren't going to throw away an entire night's worth of high ratings on a quick call.
