I've said it before- the reason so many GOP can imagine that there is rampant voter fraud is because they are all totally dishonest, and assume everyone else is too.

Dinki: hey are all totally dishonest, and assume everyone else is too.

And their purpose in being there is to challenge every ballot they think is going for Obama.

When your electoral chances hinge on making sure as few people vote as possible, you should just kill yourself

I doubt they are here in Minnesota, but I'll echo what I read someone post yesterday. If I see these assholes at my polling station meddling in the will of the American people, I will be dragging them out into the street and beating them. I may lose my one vote this year, and likely next year depending on what charges and sentencing brings for it, but at least everyone else will have their right to vote left alone. I know they have a ballot initiative in MN for voter IDs.

They genuinely believe that "the other side" is so bad, so corrupt, so evil, so rotten, that any action is justified that prevents "the other side" from being in power.

This has been true since at last Jan. 2000. The right was really very clear back then: "We won, you lost, now shut up and go home." They were convinced then, and they remain convinced, that they had obtained a permanent and total lock on power. Anything short of that is, by definition (according to their version of "reasoning") fraudulent and criminal.

Therefore, when they commit crimes to suppress Democratic voting, they truly believe that they are freedom fighter partisans struggling to overthrow a nightmare tyranny.

That's the difference between the Reagan-era right and the modern right. The modern right sees itself as comic book heroes, waging heroic comic book war against comic book villainy.

The only way to stop them is to put them in prison and let them think over whether their heroic struggle is worth being shacked up with Psycho Eddie for a few years.

I was with you up until we started torturing poor Psycho Eddie.

I was one of 10 or so people waiting at my polling my place at 6:45 this morning. This is a solidly upper middle class/upper class, very white, very Republican neighborhood. An old white trash redneck in a orange camo hat went up to the poll worker at the door and said he was with True the Vote and he was there to ensure there was nobody voting fraudulently. The nice old lady told him this is a very small precinct and very little potential for fraud. He left.

At first I was a little puzzled. Then it dawned on my that this very white, very Republican neighborhood has a name that is very similar to a very poor, very black neighborhood. He had gotten bad information about where could go to harass "undesirables." Dumbass.

\Voted for Obama

I live in MN too, and I will admit to hoping that someone will do that in front of me, or even better, to me. But I don't think they'll bother at my polling place, I've only seen one sign in my neighborhood that wasn't for Obama and it was for Gary Johnson...even the one guy who has a GOP house candidate sign hasn't put up a Romney sign.

If you're going to get all medieval on someone, you could do it after you vote. I'm not advocating violence, mind you, but keep your priorities in line.

Yeah, that was my pre-coffee pep talk to myself before hitting the road to the polling station. I am focused now.

I haven't seen many signs in my town. It's kindof a mixed bag in this area though. I'm in the district that put Bachmann in office. We've been gerrymandered out of her zone if I'm not mistaken which really pisses me off as I was hoping to vote against her this year. I guess on the plus side, she no longer represents me.

I got polled on who I voted for walking out the door.

She literally curled her lip in disgust when I said that I voted for "President of the United States of America Barack Hussein Obama". She replied with something like, "I suppose you voted ALL Democrat?". I informed her I voted for 6 Democrats, 6 Republicans, 1 Libertarian and 1 Independent.

She didn't seem to care who I voted for on the other ones.
