If I find out that half the income for their website comes from Fark clicks I'm going to be very disappointed in us all.

If making this green is some attempt to present a balance of views, I am seriously disappoint.

I can deal with an argument about smaller government or lower taxes for the rich but we don't need more American Thinker derp, mixed with subby's pathetic take on it.

Making this green is because the amount of Farkers that are now reading and commenting in the thread, thereby pushing up the clicks and pouring more money into Fark's pockets. This sort of thing generates traffic, as this thread proves. So those who post complaints about American Thinker actually contribute to there being American Thinker links.

Through all of this, of course, is the idea that no one actually has to read nor participate in any American Thinker related items.

Opinion columnist in my local paper listed ten reasons to not vote Obama. Half of them were debunked bull from 2008.

And I bet his list of reasons to vote FOR Romney is simply 'Not Obama' ten times.

But is it generating clicks for AT? From what I have seen, most people go directly to the comments sections. I blame the mods, and Drew's greediness. There are legitimate conservative news sites that don't pour out the mindless drivel of an AT or Drudge link. Where are those represented? Instead you turn a forum for politics into a game of look at the r*tard in the corner.

Obama was sabotaged by his own party... no wonder he came across in the first debate as if he didn't give a rats ass anymore.

It's the economy stupid!.. everyone knows that, and when Ted Kennedy died and Pelosi, et al got a hard on for the health care legislation (instead of the economy) he was pretty much doomed. Now Obama has no more political capital to spend.... he let Pelosi drive the biggest wedge between the two parties in modern times and he is pretty much screwed. Even if he does win this election, he will be nothing more than a neutered pet.

How interesting. Go on. Oh--sorry, no. The opposite of that.

2012-11-06 09:40:27 AM
Yes.
He's a natural-born citizen, over 35, and has lived in this country for over 14 years, so yes.
Because he believes this is the best way to care for the American people.
Because they stem from certain popular but flawed assumptions about people, chief among them being that people don't have agency, that self-esteem can drive a person to do things they don't want to do, that people are the most reliable narrators of their own lives, that most people's problems are inflicted upon them by dominant groups to which they do not belong, and that ultimately, in the most objective and general sense, feeling good is more important than doing well.
It's deliberate in the sense that he actually intends to carry out exactly the things he said he would. But he has no intentions of destroying any particular society, especially not the one he runs. He does not believe that his plans will do that.
At the moment, probably resting after a grueling week of not only finishing up his campaign and providing disaster relief, but all the ordinary duties a President faces.

Next?

The great wonder of contemporary American politics is how Barack Hussein Obama got elected to the office of president in the first place.

Proof conservatives live in bizarro world. Obama winning in 2008 is about as mysterious as tying your shoes.

Here is a simple explanation of who Barack Hussein Obama is and what he's really up to:
Barack Hussein Obama is a Marxist socialist revolutionary, and his goal is to transform the Unites States of America into a socialist state.
It really is that simple.

...

what is this I don't even

Seriously, though, not even the Russians and Chinese go for Marxism these days, and non-Marxist socialism has been a major component of both parties' platforms since the late 1800s when we nationalized the nation's military apparatus, in which the government had previously participated but wasn't the primary provider, relying on state militaries and outright mercenary companies as much as or more than the actual US standing army.

So railing against socialism in general, or accusing someone of being a Marxist, is not even particularly credible in the context of conspiracy theories, it's sort of like accusing someone of being a snake-oil salesman because he's a dirty heliocentrist.
