Even De Lorean managed to sell10,000 cars...

Tesla's biggest problem has yet to be faced. They're going to have to deal with the various lawsuits still being filed over their Apple-store type retail strategy. Unfortunately, I think they're going to lose those suits and be forced to adopt the dealer/franchise model that makes buying a car suck so badly.

Maybe, but they pose the question, "There aren't any cars in the stores, so how can they be considered dealerships?"

Glad I bought some shares when they were down.

hooray, revenue beat estimates by 4%!

meanwhile the company burned through $125 million in cash this quarter (has $85-100 million left), and now has negative shareholder equity.

and Elon Musk dares to say that the "risky" part of doing business is over. sure it is.

Meanwhile, Romney mocks them as a sign of "green" technology gone too far.

I believe that many are concerned with the disposal of the batteries once the cars are retired. There are a ton of articles, from both the left and right, complaining that disposal of these vehicles offsets any benefit during the car's lifetime.

/sorry to interrupt your derp

kind of like those nifty expensive lightbulbs that need a hazmat team if they break. it's going to take a long time before 'green' will find the level of cradle to grave mindset engineering it needs. then again, the same can be said for cell phones, big arse TV's and everything else that will never break down organically in a landfill. it will be a real long time before there is enough awareness of the problem to the point where companies are made to do what is good for the earth and not just good for short term profit taking. i doubt it will ever happen. too easy to go and pollute someone elses country.

That's Fisker. Tesla has a better design making such fires nigh-impossible.

Yeah I hope they make it too.

I do though get the impression that there are those amongst us who very definitely hope they don't make it.
