Guy love,
That's all it is,
Guy love,
He's mine, I'm his,
There's nothing gay about it in our eyes.

i361.photobucket.com

Just let it grow more and more each day.
It's like I married my best friend,
But in a totally manly way.

i361.photobucket.com

Let's go!
It's guy love,
Don't compromise,
The feeling of some other guy,
Holding up your heart,
Into the sky.

i361.photobucket.com

It's guy love,
Between two guys.
And when I say, "I love you, TurkRyan,"
It's not what it implies.
It's guy love
Between
Two
Guys

I thought "landslide" generally meant a double digit lead in the popular vote.

You're just mad that freedom is returning to America. I don't think there's any greater proof than the events that occurred this morning. Throughout the night, it was completely dark, a nation under the shroud of an illegitimate presidency. Then around 6:00 this morning, the sun began to rise, right before election polling began. By 8:00, the sun was out, casting its brightness upon the countryside. If that's not a sign from above, I don't know what is.

VOTE BUSH 2000.

George Bush is a true example of a COMPASSIONATE CONSERVATIVE. He will bring honor and decency back to the White House.

We agree that $1.25/gallon is a ludicrously high amount. George Bush is a former Oil Man with many close ties to arab oil interests. He'll be able to talk with the middle east and truly be the Inside Man to ease the stress on struggling motorists.

America is in no way the world's police, and has no business going abroad sacrificing young american lives telling other countries how they should be doing things. George Bush will put America first, and focus on true Homeland Security by dedicating his administration to a mighty MISSILE SHIELD.

We cannot have the proof... a smoking gun... to come in the form of a mushroom cloud. By building a Missile Shield, American families will be prototected from any and all harm from rogue nations. George Bush will combat the true dangers of the 21st century, all the while helping families grow at home.

By encouraging deregulation in the private healthcare and banking industry, free market forces will ensure competition drives prices down, making private healthcare and the American dream of home ownership affordable to all. It is unamerican to inject the Government in other people's business, and it is a core Republican belief that Government should be so small as to be able to drown it in your bathtub. Privacy, above all, is the God-given right of Americans.

Vote Compassionate Conservatism.
Vote fiscal responsibility.
Vote small Government.

This election isn't about the candidates, but their beliefs.

Having had some experience in life, I can never support liberalism. It's a path that leads to nothing but misery, while disguising itself as fairness and compassion.

Liberalism is a mental disorder spread by self-pity.

It is an attempt to create an alternate reality in which, in order to be sociable, we accept everyone equally.

My experience in life is that most people are corner-cutters, many are sociopaths, and most are thoughtless; these are things which should not be rewarded. Liberalism pretends that if we're just "nice" to each other in our social behavior, we're all good, even though most people are not.

MC Romney may not be ideal, but he's conservative and a good leader (CEO) of the type that uses the same skills as the presidency.

Mister Obama seems like a nice fellow but he has little experience, projects himself as a weak leader, transitions us to an entitlement state that encourages people to be codependent on government and to stop striving for personal and professional excellence, and is connected to some shady characters in gangland Chicago.

The choice is clear.

I do the auto check out with the touch screen. It gives me a receipt. These transactions don't require a receipt. All the stores I go to use touch screen machines for the transaction. And yet you go to vote and for some reason it can't print out a receipt. That's ... that's stupid.

That's because, after the election, they don't want people asking for a refund or exchange.

How legal is it to have a sign like this near the polling event? There were a bunch of them mixed in with all the other 'normal' campaign signs and it felt very odd to see them there.

I don't see the problem. The sign summarizes, quite succinctly in fact, all of the possible positive reasons to vote for Romney.

I don't think there's anything wrong with having that signage over any of the professionally printed signs.

I'm curious if there's a requirement allowing people to put up signage if you're running a polling place. I hate all those stupid signs just because they're annoying, and if someone put a sign on my property I'd rip it out. I often see signs in public places (parks and whatnot) and I want to rip those out too.

Just got back from the polls here in NC. The guy next to me had his ballot rejected because he voted for 2 Presidents...Romney and Johnson.

The workers seemed kinda confused about what to do, but apparently there's a procedure in place (they kept saying it was a spoiled ballot) and he had to redo his ballot. Ladies and gentlemen, Mitt Romney's base.

Also, I'm making the prediction we will not find out the winner today. Since Fark has been so convinced of the media conspiracy to make the race look close, I think it will continue today. Florida, Ohio, Colorado, and possibly VA will be close enough that they won't be called today and I wouldn't be surprised if Florida and Ohio are close enough for automatic recounts.

This awful election season will continue for a few more days, so try not to wear yourselves out in this thread because there's plenty herping and derping to come.

My polling station is at the church around the corner from my house. In and out in 20 minutes, mostly b/c some people in line don't listen. When you're asked to turn off your phones, have your ID and voter card ready...why is it so hard to follow those order? You're not that important that the call can't wait 10 minutes...geez.

The strangest thing though, a guy was wearing a Mario Williams Buffalo Bills jersey. He was having trouble casting his vote. Apparently he was saying he was double and triple teamed at his polling machine...though I didn't see anyone around him.

Kit Fister: Jiro Dreams Of McRibs: If you're still wavering:

This is election is about war. It isn't about the economy, vaginas, immigrants, murderers, bounty hunters or Methodists.

Obama came into office with two wars--three if you count the generic, unending war on terror. We are out of Iraq, we are pulling out of Afghanistan. And in that war on terror, Obama won a huge victory by killing Osama Bin Laden. Obama ended the 15 month combat tour, stopped repeated tours with little or no time off in between. He brought back Eric Shinseki, the Army Chief of Staff who told everyone we would need several hundred thousand troops to take and hold Iraq (the actual number was 1.5 million).

Romney has stated he will go to war with Iran. He will go to war with your loved ones, not his. Since Iran is 4 times larger than Iraq, he will have to initiate the draft. (If we put 1.5 million into Iraq, how many to do you think we'll need in Iran?) A draft will do terrible damage to our volunteer forces as it did in the Vietnam era. And much of the debt that the GOP is using as a campaign issue was generated in those three wars before Obama came into office.

So think about voting for Obama. We don't need another war that will make trillions for some while countless others pay a price you can't put on a balance sheet.

/also, look at the economic numbers today compared to when Obama took office. We were losing 600,000 jobs a month before Obama came into office. Look at the Dow this year. If it's beans you want to count, then look at the numbers and consider rewarding Obama with your vote since he stopped a depression from happening.

And for those of us who only care about protecting our rights, or believe that in some cases, war is the right thing, we're not necessarily plussed by Obama.

Also, whom do we hold accountable for investing billions of taxpayer money in green energy companies that promptly send their stuff off to China and/or went bankrupt? Whom do we hold accountable for a stimulu ...

War is always right for old rich white guys like Romney. It's the poor, the brown, and all the others that have to watch out.

And there's nothing more partisan than reducing a vote down to "what's in it for me???"

Debt? Look who generated that debt. Two wars fought for 6 years or so off the books. Where was all the clamor about the debt, where was all the tax increases needed to pay for those wars.

If Romney gets elected, enjoy your war. Be sure and buy Halliburton while it's cheap.

This really makes me question Johnson's decision making. Completely awful.

If he had started out with ads on TV that looked like this, he'd be a shoe-in for the 5% at the very least. Imagine the first political ads with two hot chicks making out over their lust for a candidate. Why can't we have ads like that? There's no need to go negative.

It has been my experience that many election predictions and projections disappear once they've been horribly disproven. So I took some time to screen-grab as many of the predictions I could find. I want to use this as a tool, as to which poll or aggregator to watch most closely next time.

But you may find it a little fun to remind your far-leaning friends who pointed to their favorite biased "news source" that they were led horribly wrong. Maybe it could shake them awake...or it will drive them to start to shout "election fixing!"

Whatever, I've loosely laid them out ranging from "Obama Landslide" to "Romney Landslide." Hope you find this cool and not annoying.

I don't even see a reason to vote. One of my friends (i.e. another billionaire) works down at the polling place where they count the votes in Ohio, and according to the electronic voting tally, Romney already has 999,999,999 votes. If every person in Ohio voted for Taxbongo, he'd still be down by 988 million votes. What a joke this clown is. He's going to be the first person to lose a state by more than 900 million electoral votes. Hilarious.

This is actually my first time voting, I wasn't able to get registered (couldn't get access to the family printer and was too stubborn to just go to the damn library) last election, and was too young and stupid to care about Bush/Kerry (deep regret)...

So I was wondering... when should I go? The polling place opens at 6am according to the website, though I find it difficult to believe ANYTHING is open that early in my town, so I was wondering if I should just go now. But I also kind of want to take this all in, maybe go later in the day when more people will be there, get myself pumped since I know I'm gonna be surrounded by straight ticket old ass republicans (that kind of town).

Any thoughts?

Don't stress about it, your first vote is like your first lay. It'll be over a lot quicker than you think, you'll end up a bit embarrassed and everyone else will be unsatisfied. Go get it over with.

It's going to be so hilarious. Taxbongo is going to be on World's Wildest Impeachments, and John Bunnell is going to be like, "This liberal spendocrat thinks he can tax this country into financial ruin. Ted Kennedy's Brain Tumor: The Middle of the George Washington Bridge: Ted Kennedy's Brain Tumor: The world didn't deserve shiat. The President of the United States is not accountable to the world. Bush deserves all the criticism in the world for his imperial adventures; those criticisms, however, are of a nature that they squandered American blood and treasure--not that they offended some two-bit asshole in Caracas or Tehran.

American Exceptionalism is a myth that neocons propped up because they believe that societies need myths to act as glue for a nationalist identity. They are scared of losing power due to a lack of such an identity. Fine. But when they acted on that myth to the nth degree, things change. It's just a myth, but they acted like it was true and that threatens people around the world. I personally feel that this warrants an apology. Whether it's good politics or not is up to debate. But to me it's common sense that it warrants an apology. Certainly the opposite isn't true. Certainly we shouldn't be proud of what we did.

No one is claiming American exceptionalism outside pandering politicians. These concerns are realpolitik; the failures of the Bush administration are real but they are not because we squandered the "good will" of Europe.

It's not a matter of "good will" it's just a matter of making a mess of things beyond out borders. I'm not talking diplomacy, I'm talking 1st grade morals. We have a phrase for it in English: "My bad!" or at least "I'm done pulling that shiat." I know, I know, I'd make a shiatty president. But to blame a guy for doing the right thing seems idiotic, even if it's naive.

Romney winning means a lot of lulz for us as we watch him fail miserably. If he does somehow squeak by, I'm starting a betting pool as to when the Nixonesque scandals start. This guy has way too baggage already not to have lulzy shenanigans occurring. And watching his followers get instant buyer's remorse? Might be fun to watch. Also, magic underwear.

HanlonsRazor: Roseanne Barr is on my ballot. I wonder if that is true all over the U.S., or just in California.

She was also on the ballot in Colorado. But you still have to write in "Lizard People".

This year I voted for the King of the Lizardpeople (senate), the Queen of the Lizardpeople (house), the Prince of the Lizardpeople (state senate), and the Princess of the Lizard people (state house).

I'm really hoping for a state wide recount on some issue.

/the only reason I voted this year is due to the idiotic amendments on the ballot
//I live in a hard blue district - none of the democrats running will win with less than 60% of the vote

1. Obama's negative campaign didn't work, it left them tied at 50-50.
2. Early voting was also close.
3. Romney leads independent voters.

Romney wins. You guys are gonna be soooo pissed off.

When elections are close, always bet on the incumbent. I bet you suck in Vegas.

I don't know who's going to win the election, but I just hope that whoever does will crack down on all of the pooping that's going on in this country. It's disgusting and people should really stop doing it.

It wll happen, and it will happen for about two hours. Are people allowed to post alternative websites, here, so people can get their fix on when Fark's Dollar Store servers crash again?

Let's hope we end up with the officials we need, not the ones we deserve, since we pretty much deserve the Teatards and their ilk.

Pincy: It's plain ridiculous that we continue to allow the weather to have an impact on elections. As Bathia Mapes can attest to, we here in Oregon know how to do elections. I only hope other states will come join us in the 21st century sooner than later.

Washington's exclusively vote by mail as well.

Mike has been doing some upgrades and such and he's hopeful that fark won't crash.

Now, the real question is which will crash first? Twitter or Fark?
