A month ago, I could not have imagined that Obama's chances would have rivaled his peak after the 47%/DNC one-two punch. Silver and others are theorizing that the bump in Obama's polling this weekend came from Hurricane Sandy, which could have sealed the deal. LOL, if O wins, it will be fun watching Faux News spin an Act of God helping the Democrat.

propasaurus: Bathia_Mapes: HanlonsRazor: Roseanne Barr is on my ballot. I wonder if that is true all over the U.S., or just in California.

She wasn't on my Oregon ballot nor was she listed in the voter's pamphlet.

I think she's only on the ballot in 4 states. CA, maybe FL. Not sure where else.
I actually saw her in a live interview and she was surprisingly cogent.

She was living in Hawaii for awhile and owned a macadamia nut plantation. I wonder if she's on the ballot there as well.

Car_Ramrod: I voted on Friday, so I don't understand why we need to even have an election. I was surprised to encounter a 40 min wait in the north side of Chicago at 2 pm on a weekday, but I was happy to see so many people getting their voice heard, even if it's a foregone conclusion which way our state is gonna go.

I faced a 90-minute wait in the South Suburbs on the second day of early voting. If turnout is as it should be then "oversampling" of Dems shouldn't even be a factor. When more people vote the Democrat will win--at least in this era.

Vote. Get your friends to vote. Get your friends friends to vote. Offer future rides to the airport if need be.

You sure that's final and not subject to change before the polls start opening on the east coast? I was kind of hoping for about 99.5% or better, but 92% isn't bad...

grim day to be Mitt Romney and that other guy... Ryan Paul or whatever his name was. ;)

Ted Kennedy's Brain Tumor: The Middle of the George Washington Bridge: Ted Kennedy's Brain Tumor: The world didn't deserve shiat. The President of the United States is not accountable to the world. Bush deserves all the criticism in the world for his imperial adventures; those criticisms, however, are of a nature that they squandered American blood and treasure--not that they offended some two-bit asshole in Caracas or Tehran.

American Exceptionalism is a myth that neocons propped up because they believe that societies need myths to act as glue for a nationalist identity. They are scared of losing power due to a lack of such an identity. Fine. But when they acted on that myth to the nth degree, things change. It's just a myth, but they acted like it was true and that threatens people around the world. I personally feel that this warrants an apology. Whether it's good politics or not is up to debate. But to me it's common sense that it warrants an apology. Certainly the opposite isn't true. Certainly we shouldn't be proud of what we did.

No one is claiming American exceptionalism outside pandering politicians. These concerns are realpolitik; the failures of the Bush administration are real but they are not because we squandered the "good will" of Europe.

It's not a matter of "good will" it's just a matter of making a mess of things beyond out borders. I'm not talking diplomacy, I'm talking 1st grade morals. We have a phrase for it in English: "My bad!" or at least "I'm done pulling that shiat." I know, I know, I'd make a shiatty president. But to blame a guy for doing the right thing seems idiotic, even if it's naive.

VOTE BUSH 2000.

George Bush is a true example of a COMPASSIONATE CONSERVATIVE. He will bring honor and decency back to the White House.

We agree that $1.25/gallon is a ludicrously high amount. George Bush is a former Oil Man with many close ties to arab oil interests. He'll be able to talk with the middle east and truly be the Inside Man to ease the stress on struggling motorists.

America is in no way the world's police, and has no business going abroad sacrificing young american lives telling other countries how they should be doing things. George Bush will put America first, and focus on true Homeland Security by dedicating his administration to a mighty MISSILE SHIELD.

We cannot have the proof... a smoking gun... to come in the form of a mushroom cloud. By building a Missile Shield, American families will be prototected from any and all harm from rogue nations. George Bush will combat the true dangers of the 21st century, all the while helping families grow at home.

By encouraging deregulation in the private healthcare and banking industry, free market forces will ensure competition drives prices down, making private healthcare and the American dream of home ownership affordable to all. It is unamerican to inject the Government in other people's business, and it is a core Republican belief that Government should be so small as to be able to drown it in your bathtub. Privacy, above all, is the God-given right of Americans.

Vote Compassionate Conservatism.
Vote fiscal responsibility.
Vote small Government.
Vote GOP.

Vote Bush 2000

I'll admit that I didn't know much about him until a few days ago, but everything that I have read about him I agree with. I live in Georgia so an Obama victory is about as likely as Christianity being outlawed in the state tomorrow.
