NickelP: Anderson's Pooper: The Jami Turman Fan Club: I'm not a fan of that state overall, but I'd cut a baby for some Skyline Chili right now. I'm guessing Biden would too.

That shiate is an abomination before God.
Farking spaghetti chili eating savages.

THIS. And stop calling it chili. Call it what it is... Cinnamon-Flavored Meat Sauce.

OK, so it's awesome Cinnamon-Flavored Meat Sauce. Happy now?

I live in Ohio and I HATE Skyline chili with a passion when it is served over spaghetti. BUT Skyline chili and cheese hotdogs are fantastic.

You guys should give dixie chili a shot, blows skyline away.

Everybody says ________ blows Skyline away. They're all wrong. They are all just slightly worse or better than each other. And yes, I like them all.

Ah yes, Southern Ohio vs. Northern Ohio.

Southern Ohio: Rednecks who enjoy cinnamon-flavored meat sauce on spaghetti.

Northern Ohio: Civilized Americans who enjoy Patriotic Chili-Cheese Dogs. (See also President Obama's visits to Toledo)

Rug Doctor: Yes, our pissant state hates this horrible influx of hundreds of millions of dollars every four years. Won't someone please make it stop, because we just can't stand this torrential downpour of cash right on our heads. Oh, the humanity.

since when is clear channel based in ohio?

I would mostly be annoyed by the fact that the national election shiat has got to be drowning out the state and local election news, which is usually more important. Anyone with an IQ over 10 made up their mind on the presidency months ago, but there's still sometimes last-minute info you need on initiative items, state congressional elections, municipal officers, and so on that's probably hard to find in the OBAMAROMNEYBAMAORNMEYOBANEYBANANAFANAFOBAMARERIROROMNANA shiat blanketing the info-streams.

Dude, the political commercials are so thick, THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE ROOM TO ADVERTISE FOR BONER PILLS OR TAMPONS! That's how bad it is in Ohio!

SuperT: 5 star chef of tv dinners: chuckufarlie: and they are bad for business. One political rally shuts down an area for a week.

This is not always true. Obama had a rally today and a local deli in the area had to shut down several hours early because it ran out of food. Apparently having having your business on a street corner with several thousand people lined up right next to it has it perks.

I live in cincinnati. This is a goddamn lie. it farks up traffic for a few hours, that's about it.

I didn't say you were completely wrong. It does cause some serious traffic issues. It's just that it does have some benefits just like any event that brings in thousands of people. Pros and cons.

NightSteel: "Talk is cheap," Romney said. "But a record is real, and it's earned with real effort. Change is not measured in words you speak, change is measured in achievement."

How does he say things like that without immediately catching on fire, or peals of laughter? What has he achieved beyond making a lot of money for himself and shipping jobs overseas?

it's the magic underwear, they keep the pant's from catching fire.

If all you are getting is a cup of chili maybe. The sides vary greatly. Certain places have much better fries for example, some places (like Dixie) have additional toppings like minced garlic for 3ways/conies. Some places use better hot dogs etc. I am with you, they are all good, but some are much better than others.

Pretty much this.

I've had bad (too try or too wet) chili at all of the Cincy chains. Or an undercooked hot dog, or some frozen cheese... Sometimes you get good, sometimes you get bad. It all pretty much levels out.

Except Empress. Empress ALWAYS sucks.

Actualy, Ohio should be a bit more respectful to the man that all but held this country together during the past 4 years.

Obama and Romney are kinda like those irritating relatives that just won't leave, says the state of Ohio

Who the fark are these people who think that?

I'll think of you though.

Ugh....within the 18 or so months I worked there (in my early 20s), I made, packaged and delivered the stuff, then managed one of their stores for a while. It makes me sad that I see it at the grocery stores out here in CO, but can't get Jeni's.

Geotpf: Bashar and Asma's Infinite Playlist: California is the battered ex-wife who would still do anything for her ex-husband, even though he won't give her the time of day.

I live in California, and while there's basically ins't a Presidential election going on, there sure is an election for ten propositions, the State Assembly, the State Senate, Congress, and mayor. The volume of such varies depending on exactly where you live in the state, and I live in ground farking zero. I think I got about twenty different political flyers in the mail on Saturday, and am averaging about a phone call a day from somebody. The amount of internet banner ads, TV ads, and radio ads is pretty high as well.

You will note that there is basically not a Senate race here, though. I saw a single TV ad for Feinstein; her Republican opponent has never won an election of any sort (she previously ran in a Congressional primary and finished fourth) and in the new "jungle" primary only got 12.5% of the total vote (compared to Feinstein's 49.3%).

This was just from one day around the primary election earlier this year...we've been getting even more in the last couple of weeks. I swear political campaigns are the only thing we get anymore.

Yeah- it's bad enough up here in Oceanside. I can't imagine what it must be like with the slap-fight between Filner and DeMaio, not to mention the Bilbray/Peters race now that redistricting has put that seat potentially in play for the Democrats.

I can't wait for the ROV to release the mail ballot results so that we can pop the champagne, have a couple of drinks, and go pass the fark out.

Today alone my mom got enough political flyers in the mail to completely cover their table. They're constantly getting robo-call.

Springsteen and Jay-Z at the big arena in Columbus for Obama.

The Marshall Tucker Band at an airport hangar for Romney.

Seriously?

Ugh yeah Filner and DeMaio has not been fun.Honestly I'm so burned out by all of the crap I don't even care who gets elected anymore. I'm really starting to hate elections...

Don't sneer at your accuracy. My uncle who rescued me with a job in 1980 when Detroit was in the second oil shock recession just died at age 92.

No, I'll be voting for Gary Johnson. I haven't voted for a Demublican since 1978.
