I like Will Ferrell. No, really. I know Fark doesn't, but I do.
That being said, this spot is sad and not funny.

I'm more centrist on Ferrell. He has some really bad stuff and he has some hilarious stuff.

Article is severely lacking without an address I can send my boxers to.

I would pay $10 to watch a movie where Ferrell sorting his sock drawer.

He has only ever done two things that suck IMHO, Bewitched and this PSA.

He could have simply done a PSA as Bush endorsing Romney and it would have been perfect.

I didn't think he was that funny in Old School. I also didn't like him in Night at the Roxbury but how crappy that movie was may have biased me on his acting. Also am I allowed to bring up SNL?

Like I said, I'm a huge fan of Ferrell. Old School is one of my favourite movies. Saw Campaign the other night and that was even better. Your other two examples weren't his best work but I think show his generosity towards other comedians.

I'm not the biggest fan of Will Ferrell, in fact some of his stuff annoys the hell outta me.
I think he works better in an ensemble movie. Old School, Anchorman and Talledega (?) nights were all good, fun movies.

That being said this sucked.

Step Brothers was also very very funny.

Well, that's the nice thing about Will Ferrell. His worst stuff is also his best stuff, since he just keeps doing the same bits over and over again.

It's not a case of "his old stuff was better, blah blah blah". It's just he keeps doing the same schtick over and over and over. He plays an angry man-baby who makes wild references ("By Odin's beard!!") and runs around screaming at the top of his lungs. I loved it when it was fresh, but I just got tired of his schtick is all.

The Campaign was ok, had some good moments, but mostly from Zach Galif...Galinaki....Galifi-notgonnaworkinghereanymore. Love to see Ferrell stretch himself a bit, Stranger than Fiction was excellent.

That's the stuff I stick on the bad part.

You can't tell me these aren't funny:

And I'm pretty sure everyone on Earth loved him as Alex Trebek.

I loved The Campaign. I watched it twice yesterday like I was 12 years old and it was The Karate Kid. Tickle shiats.

See, I recognize them as being humorous, but they just don't make me laugh. Yes, it's Will Ferrell and he's awkwardly speaking about a city no one gets excited to visit. It's just too reminiscent of his old stuff is all, that awkward pacing.

And yes, I too loved him as Alex Trebek.

I'm sure he's already eaten his own unmentionables over the years. He's one crazy mo-fo.
