At this point are we still entertaining the charade that Fox News is anything but a propaganda wing for the Republican party??

I can keep telling people I'm 12 feet tall all day long every day it doesn't make it so. Neither does Fox News declaring they are "fair and balanced".

Because remember:

11 attacks on our embassies during 8 years of Bush = strong signs of the Bush foreign agenda working and that his leadership will see democracies rise in the Middle East

1 attack in 4 years under Obama = failed foreign policy in every aspect of foreign policy and we look weak to our enemies

enderthexenocide: ... A casual comment about the "47 percent" ...

oh, it was totally just a casual comment. no reason to make a big about it or anything. the media should totally have been talking about obama's "radical positions" and "ongoing failures," but they kept talking about casual comments that romney makes. they are so biased.

To be fair, it was a casual comment. Romney was remarkably casual in writing off 47 percent of the country as moochers with victim complexes. It was possibly the least scripted thing I've heard him say since the campaign began. And he sounded more casual and relaxed than he ever sounded in a campaign speech. Almost as if he were expressing his own actual beliefs, free of any need to appeal to any demographic other than the very, very rich.

So many FOX haters....

I have noticed we have a lot of "attacks to the source" of this article, but no arguments against the points raised in the article itself. I have to assume from this that nobody here can find any fault with the article and most people here are just a bunch of blind FOX haters.

Thanks everyone for supporting the article with your failure to address it in a substantive manner!!!!

BTW, does anyone know if Biden really said that, and what context it was in? I am asking because I don't watch FOX and I NEVER heard about it from anyone else. I would be really curious to know just how much FOX is spinning it. On the flip side, I know for a fact it can't be as bad as the liberal media spin on "Binder full of women", which in context made 100% sense and was not offensive at all. But you damn sure know the liberal media took that one and tried to run Romeny into the ground with it. If they were unbiased they would have not done that, or would have done the same with Biden.

So this is how they've decided to rationalize Romney's defeat. Makes sense when you think about it. The entire Republican ideology relies on the premise that they are 100% correct about everything while everyone else is 100% incorrect about everything. That being the case, it is impossible for them to lose any debate or election on a level playing field because obviously people will choose the person who is 100% all the time. So when that fails to happen, the only logical explanation is that someone must have cheated, or the media was on their side, or a storm came along at an inopportune time, or whatever other kind of excuse you can pull out of your arse. Because the reason for your candidate's defeat can never, ever be that he or she had the wrong message, or is a complete dick, or promotes policies that a majority of voters reject. No, that simply cannot be, because as we have already established, your candidate is 100% right about everything 100% of the time. There must be some other reason, and someone needs to spread the word about that reason.

And that, in a nut shell, is why Fox News exists in the first place.

If Romney wins, the ammount of smug will turn Fox news into an even more unbearable thing to watch.

If Obama wins, Fox news will be no more, and it will now be the Fox Resistance Army for the Recovery of America.

A friend posted this on Facebook; this friend completely agrees with the source. This friend has worked his entire career for the military, driving desks at increasing pay rates. I'm serious, I served with him after my sea tour. He is the very picture of wasteful military spending and pretends to be a tea party patriot.

He thinks that me characterizing this column as an "Onion-worthy stinker" is an example of me trying to defend the left's malfeasance by pointing out Fox's foibles.

No, this is an example of a histrionic opinion piece straight out of corporate marketing.  "Fox is your beacon through all the "mainstream media's" lies about our (now that we like him) hero Mitt Romney!"

The desperate need for a close race has made the coverage pretty sad. Because the electoral college doesn't show a close race, the media insists on only looking at the popular vote. If the EV was close, they'd be going over the math in every state every night. But because the EV is practically a lock for Obama, they can talk about anything but how close the national polls are.

On Fox News today they're spending a lot of time running stories about "possible" voter fraud incidents. I guess their plan is to watch their guy lose, and then spend the next few weeks/months moaning about how it was impossible for Obama to win without cheating.

Thus the news cycle is revitalized, ads sell, consumers consume, and the powers-that-be have exactly what they planned for when they selected the face-man/President years ago.

Well, let's say this Twinkie represents the normal amount of butthurt in Fox News. Based on this morning's sample, it would be a Twinkie... thirty-five feet long, weighing approximately six hundred pounds.

That's a LOT of butthurt. And it's only getting bigger.

Thsi is the equivalent to people crying "The refs are on their side" in football.

Grow up already. And no it isn't bias when a media source reports that your candidate or your party said something very disgusting towards a group of voters or shows outright disdain for them. It is called reporting.
