Ohio can't touch Florida

2012-11-05 12:05:52 PM
As someone who lived in Ohio for eight years, I completely agree. The entire state, much like Florida and Texas, ought to be disenfranchised until they drag their IQ up to double-digits.

To those who know it well, in a way the Census Bureau only could if it were based in Akron or Sandusky, the soul of Ohio is its utter soullessness.

Well. That escalated quickly.

Aw c'mon. Give them this at least. After all, they're stuck there in Ohio. Don't take this away from them. It's all they've got in life.

Unless Ohio picks a Republican for president then it's fine. Amirite New Republic?

As a hoosier who spent a LOT of time in Ohio, I totally agree...

Ohio isn't picking the president, New York and California are.

Ohio is just a fluffer.

I'd much prefer Ohio than the Deep South and Appalachia, which hold over a quarter of the electoral votes necessary to reach 270.

2012-11-05 12:12:01 PM
Some fool in Cleveland, that could not even name the Vice President, should not be the one pocking the next president.

Indiana is A LOT worse than Ohio.

They have bought Rmoney's and Lie'n Ryan's schtick completely.

Don't count on a Hoosier to be a deep thinker.

Lost Thought 00: Ohio can't touch Florida

This.

Florida is pretty much a coin toss. Obama wins Florida he wins the election.

You've never been to Southeast Ohio.

Human beings of vision and vitality will do almost anything to leave Ohio. This urge has benefited America's space program. John Glenn got as far from Ohio as he could. Neil Armstrong, with better technology, got further.

OK, now THAT's funny :D

they aren't picking the next president. Unless you only need 18 EV to win.

As someone who spent much of his childhood in Marietta, Aye. It's a terrible thing to uproot a Hoosier and make live among buckeyes for a decade of his childhood.

Compare how much time Romney and Obama have spent in Ohio compared to California, Texas, Kentucky, New York and Alabama. If either candidate gets Florida and Ohio they pretty much win, they could give a fark about convincing the rest of us to vote for them.

2012-11-05 12:26:18 PM
It really does need to get its shiat together as a state. Or there will be UN observers there at our next election.

Don't want your sovereignty challenged? Stop acting like a 3rd world hellhole.

Anyhow, welcome to Democracy, where the mediocre pick the President. That's what Democracy means.

Bascially this.

Once you leave Columbus heading East on I-70. Technically you're still in Ohio but it's pretty much West Virginia.

Me too. Compared to Texas (and Louisiana before that), Ohio is not a bad place. Not the smartest kid in school, but definitely not the dumbest.

because those states have made up their mind already. It taking Ohio longer. California, Texas, Kentucky, New York and Alabama are the girls who put out on a first date. Ohio is the chick that makes you take her away for the weekend before giving it up.

sorry, drifted off...I think I need to get laid.

Other way around.

And if it wasn't Ohio, it would be some other "battleground" state. Basically if it doesn't seem to be going your way, call the whole idea stupid. Why play the bitter loser early? Obama could win you know.

I'm going to say Colorado is the big state to watch. Wisconsin is a given for Obama. Florida is an instant win for Obama, Ohio is BASICALLY an instant win with a possibility for a tie which will likely result in the undeniably hilarious Romney/Biden ticket, after that NC goes to Romney, and Virginia's a coin toss. If Virginia and Colorado agree, it's done. Otherwise it goes to Iowa and then New Hampshire which are leaning Obama last I saw.

I love my home. To the death. I've told my wife if I ever die early to cremate my ass and scatter around NW Ohio.

But, we do some stupid shiat because many of the people in this state are morons. Electing the Kasich crew, for example, was a HUGE mistake and we're paying for it by losing the turnpike now. Once in a while we show some insight.

I suppose my biggest complaint is that I am stuck in the back of nowhere instead of where the action is this election season.
