My first was TRS-80 Model III. I could not afford the $5,000 for the 5 MEG hard drive. Imagine paying that much for a hard disk that can only hold 2-3 photos from today's digital cameras. (Low res photos)

Commodore is long gone. Someone else may have purchased the name at a bankruptcy auction, but that doesn't transfer over any of the things that made the products special. If it's not a 6502-family CPU + VIC + SID, it's not a C64.
