GAT_00: But I was told Mitt Romney cared so much about helping people.
Cup_O_Jo: You want a President who helps people. Who gets off his ass and does something. THEN---when a Candidate drops off stuff for the red cross (and BTW they don't turn jack away so whoever wrote this is full of shiat) --all the sudden it's a photo op. EVEN WHEN your President brings nothing and stands outside the red cross then goes in a shakes hands..THATS not a photo op-thats just a good President? No the good guy is the guy who sends the bus full of stuff-and is not even there for a photo op. BUT ya know what. Whatever.
They would rather have donations of money and blood.
make me some tea: Is it possible politics is at play here?
wotthefark: Mitt Romneys Tax Return: Katie98_KT: He could have organized a blood drive. Something the red cross specifically said they needed. Many people who are eligible do not give blood, and having a presidental candidate get out there, and donate blood and encourage people to do so might have actually HELPED. Maybe during the campaign rallies he could have the red cross set up donation tents (etc), and have a photo-op of him and his family donating. That's actually an excellent idea. If he had a competent campaign staff someone might have thought of it.We already have those it's called the military.
wotthefark: Romney is a supposed "successful business man". Seriously, if you can't grasp economies of scale and overhead costs then you are not a business man and Mitt Romney isn't one. He's an opportunist vulture.
LouDobbsAwaaaay: Jairzinho: Is that a "Don't tread on me" flag someone is holding in the middle against the fence? WTF does someone do with such a flag in a farking food drive for storm victims????They don't know what it means. They dress like the British when they play out their tea party fantasies. At best, they grasp the concept that waving it around means "Ah hate thu librulz!"
kpaxoid: Harry_Seldon: kpaxoid: Speaking of whom, where the heck is Ryan?He is a campaign liability. He was given an historical thrashing by a crazy old man in the VP debate.Ryan's job is clear. If Romney is elected, Ryan will be given the responsibility to ram through the right wing agenda through the Congress, and makes sure Romney follows through on hist debt to Rove and his corporate masters. You might be right. I don't know. But seriously, why is the mainstream media not investigating Ryan's invisibility?
Genevieve Marie: Mrtraveler01: IronTom: Just like the IBEW turning away helpers that did not sign up for their unions.I heard about that and thought that was dickish. This is nothing like that though, no matter how much you want it to be.Yea, except that didn't actually happen. http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/sandyunion.asp
Mrtraveler01: IronTom: Just like the IBEW turning away helpers that did not sign up for their unions.I heard about that and thought that was dickish. This is nothing like that though, no matter how much you want it to be.
Gosling: Uh oh, Red Cross. Now the Tea Party is going to try and drive the Red Cross out of business. I hope you're happy.
Dead for Tax Reasons: They would rather have donations of money and bloodHow about blood money, do they accept that?
Coco LaFemme: Much like She Who Shall Remain Nameless, I really can't wait for the election to be over so he can fark off back to wherever the hell he comes from and never darken our lives again.
