It's nice to know that even in the wretched hive of scum and villainy that is Arizona, decent people remain. Hope their final moments together as husband and wife are peaceful and loving.

Not a big Ford guy, but I'd crash a bus full of nuns into an orphanage for that car...if only to sell it and get a 62 Bel Air 409 and a mint Hemi Challenger.

Was down around the King's Bay Naval base a few weeks ago and had an A-10 zoom by at about 200ft heading towards the airfield. I love those things, first time I'd ever seen one in person.

Damn, it IS dusty in here.

/my flight instructor was a B-17 pilot in WW2, and was shot down on his 20th? mission over occupied france. He spent the last year of the war in a pow camp in bremen. He was a great guy, and it would have been nice to be able to see him fly a B17 one more time before he died. I do miss him. Greatest pilot ever.

It's always been my dream to ride in a 1987 Dodge Aries K down to 7/11 to pick up a carton of smokes. One day, I hope my dream will come true.

Well, since there is no two seat version of the A-10, there would be nobody there to stop you from blowing something up.

My grandfather was a radio operator on a weather recon B-29 in the early 50s. I talked about taking him down to get a ride from the confederate air force for a couple years but we could never work it out. Unfortunately, he died last year and I never got the chance to go up with him. Just a reminder that at some point, tomorrow never comes. Don't put things off.

Really awesome story.

But if I had to choose one last thing to take a ride in before I died, it wouldn't be a car. Or a plane, or a tank, or any machine of any kind. It would be a lady. A probably hot and not too smelly lady.
