ThatGuyFromTheInternet: The Romney ones are good for a laugh here in blue-as-blue-gets Massachusetts.

Speaking of Romney signs in Mass...

King Something: karmaceutical: Haven't seen too many yard signs this year. All kinds of stupid billboards up and down 95 though. Obama will let Iran nuke Israel. Obama let gas go from $1.89 to $3.65.etc etc.. or the occasional nutter with a "WHITEHOUSE LIES" sign standing by himself at an intersection. I don't want it to ever end.

I saw one of those billboard-trucks on 95 the other day (yesterday, I think?) that said that if Obama wasn't black, he wouldn't be President. The website advertised on the truck is a sucky blog full of right-wing derp and a clip from Dreams Of My Real Father and there is no entry from before 29 OCT 2012 (in other words, it's barely a week old). It also has an open letter to Obama allegedly written by a guy named Derrick A. Coleman who looks like this:

[votetheamericanway.com image 436x477]

but a search for the name only turned up with the basketball player and a reverse image search found nothing but that blog and a bunch of right-wing Pinterest pages. And it looks like a stock photo, to boot.

/The short version of that blog is "Don't vote for the n****r."

So... after Romney concedes, i think we should pool together some funds and put up a "Suck it; Racist Tea Party Asshats!" billboard. Anywhere between Lauderdale to West Palm would be fine

whollyholeyholy: In particular the shop owners around the corner with all the racist bumper stickers on the wall behind the cash register.

There was a sandwich shop that began doing the same thing after Obama won in '08. They had a pretty diverse clientele. The owner, a woman, just didn't understand why half the people stopped going there. She blamed it on Obama by saying people didn't have any money to spend. Her son took it over, took down all the cartoons and signs and they are doing great business again.
Stupid coont.

Guidette Frankentits: My family and I went into an establishment we hadn't been to before, sat down and saw they had a bunch of anti-obama stickers all over the place. Like "There's a village in Kenya missing its monkey" with a pic of Obama on it. That was one of the more tame ones too.

We promptly left.

But I hear their deep-fried butter and roadkill burgers are to die for.

I don't wear my politics on my lawn or car. In a related note, I know people up here who delight in switching NDP signs with Conservative signs in Canuckian elections. Such savage pranksters we are.

The signs are also helpful if you want to judge your neighbors or if you're not sure if you need to lock your doors when you drive through an unfamiliar neighborhood.
