Gdalescrboz: How dare anyone go run. These are New Yorkers, your life must stop when adversity strikes.
Now That's What I Call a Taco!: People biatching about runners going around Central Park a couple of times this morning reminds me of that Someecard about how if you hate someone, anything they do is offensive: "Look at that biatch eating crackers like she owns the place."At what point will it be "OK" for NYC to host major events again (and therefore, actually become NYC again)?
Jenna Tellya: I think there are a lot more productive things runners could be doing rather. Sure, you came to the city to run and you're disappointed you didn't get to do your marathon, and by all means run if you want to, but don't act like you're helping when you're choosing to run instead. Charity events are supposed to be about doing things you wouldn't normally do, and you're supposed to be motivated to do that thing because you want to help the charity, not because your year was just ruined and you need to run a race to make your nightmare trip worthwhile.
Smurfme: Respect = when something bad happens, you must cancel everything in life that makes life normal. Now sit down and mope.
WeenerGord: Why shouldn't they run? Cancelling the marathon isn't going to appease the weather gods, ffs. How about moving on with life?
bearcats1983: Yesterday, I saw a bunch of shiat on twitter from NYC'ers biatching about the runners being selfish arseholes. Today...nothing.
EdNortonsTwin: Well, food Is lighter than beer.
