He might have gotten through his handle of bourbon quicker than normal.

Why is blacksportsonline.com reporting on Bobby Hebert? Why does Fark have a logo for BSO? Why does BSO exist in 2012, and why does anyone take them seriously?

Not sure why this suddenly bothers me today, but it does.

I can't do it where I am now but I expect a costanza pic very soon and will return to see it

If this guy wants to be a fan, he should sit with them. They should pull his credential for the rest of the season.

I've written long diatribes on this site and elsewhere about things such as blacksportsonline, blackplanet, bet, etc. It really bugs me a lot, especially on this site where two prominent links are "Groupie Tales" and "Scandalous Photos"

Way to play into the stereotype.

They should have let him stayed . . . he would have stopped cheering in the last minute of the game.

It's the great oxymoron of blacks in America, they want equality, they want to be part of the mainstream, but GOD DAMN YOU if you think you can take away any special treatment or self-catering stuff like this.

\and after Lamar Thomas, broadcasters should know better.

I'm more upset that some idiot who should know better is using this is a cynical cash grab

Not to excuse Herbert, anyone named Herbert who pronounces his name hugh-bear because of the residual of the uppity French influence on Louisiana deserves what they get. But I get the impression that this was caused by some butthurt Alabama sportswriters who were about to have their perfect season ruined by LSU for the second year in a row. It didn't work out that way, but it seemed that way until the last drive. What's more unsporting--cheering for your team in the pressbox or enforcing obscure rules because you're butthurt that someone is? They should have named the people who finked out Herbert in TFA too.

Where are you getting Herbert, Hubert or Hugh-Bear?

It's Hebert ("A-bear"). What are you on about?

Right? It's like varmity once heard someone talk about Hebert from across the bar and decided to use it as ammo in a Fark thread. That was hard to read...

That site should be thrown off the Internet for all the annoying craP on it.

Congratulations. This is probably the dumbest post I will read this year. Or next year.

How is this any different than most of the small town college football media?

Despite the rest of the derp I think Gilgy might have a point about a butthurt Tide fan biatching to get Hebert thrown out. I could see that happening at any game between such bitter rivals.

Hebert is so dumb he voted for David Duke. Hebert is so obnoxious one of his own offensive linemen tried to kill him. What would be surprising is if he went in the press box and didn't act up.

Creating a successful blog is "special treatment"? Are you mentally retarded?

And yes, how DARE they want political equality while maintaining their own unique culture. Who do they think they are, Italians?

Heber is staring to look like he might belong on Jersey Shore. Vertical hair... orange tan... give us "duck lips" Bobby!

Yup... a Guido... and I don't mean Guido Merkins.

I was a stringer for ESPN for a short while and had a media credential for a certain NHL arena in the Pacific Division.

I was also a huge fan of the home team and hadn't been briefed on the whole "no cheering in the press box" thing. Got a stern text from the media relations manager during a game after the home team scored a bunch of goals to take the lead.

After the game I asked if he was joking, and got a "don't be farking stupid" type of response.

Duly noted.

I think an ESPN reporter got fired for a silent fist-pump in the press box last year. It's apparently a big unwritten rule of sports reporting.

I'll take missing the point for 1000, Alex.

Yup. It's total horsesh*t, but hey, let's all pretend we're not cheering for teams (especially the people that are employed by said teams). Our writing and coverage is always 100% objective!

/I prefer people just be up front and honest about who they root for instead of pretending they really don't care
//if you don't care, then go work somewhere where you do care about what happens
