They need to adopt them quickly or they're gonna kill them? Fark them. Why not make an exception and hold them for a while so the people who lost them have a chance to get their pets back?

so the dogs look like they have people caring for them, they mostly look happy and cared for. then you have the cats, all of which look like they are waiting in line at some kind of pet auschwitz. you know, if you farking treated the cats the way you treat the dogs they might be more personable and easier to find homes for, but meh. i hate the 'look at these poor dogs - oh, yeah, we have cats back there somewhere, too' attitude of a lot of shelters

erm WTF - did the dog bring a photo album, or is that a hurricane survival outfit?

Just as a side item, people who put cute little costumes on their pets need to be on the receiving end of a sour kraut enema.

A10Mechanic: I would have thought that the the littlest victims would be the rats. Millions and millions of sewer rats. Dogs have Sarah McLachlan, cats have Farkers. Who will be an advocate for Willard and Ben?

She does, she cares about Willard.

One of my friends had his house burn down thanks to Sandy. People got out mostly okay, but the pets didn't. I really hope these little guys don't have to die needlessly. And if you are nearby but not close enough, maybe you can get a closer friend to adopt then give you the pet?

If I lived there I'd take some, but alas I am too far.

I love animals.
