Royal Flush Gang deserve mention if for no other reason than their excellent JLU appearances.

Especially Ace's final moments

Stop riding the Avengers bandwagon, nobody cares about the Masters of Evil. And it's laughable they're being considered "best team ever".

moothemagiccow: why was a talking gorilla so terrifying in the 60s?

You mean it's not terrifying now? What?

Also, DC Comics published an study that found evidence that comics featuring apes sell more than other comics lol

So it was gorillas everywhere! Congorilla, Ultra-Humanite, Grodd, Titano, Monsieur Mallah, etc.

I agree, but they do get points for pulling off the stunt with the original Thunderbolts. That still stands as one of the best comic plot twists of all time.

Actually, not a bad list. Nails some of the more essential bits, like the union as aspect of the Rogues. (Geoff Johns has his problems, but he was doing some very nice stuff with Captain Cold backstory and the like back in the day.)

Now let's all enjoy Luthor and FLash switching brains:

This list is terrible, but mostly because it shows how little comic book writers care about villains.

I guess all they really wanted to do was liberate the world from the mundane.

I honestly dunno how spidey's rogues, and this group of them in particular, get any love - every single one of them is stuck in '60s lame-o territory (well, hobgoblin had some 80s flavor). Look at other popular and old villains and note how they've been updated with the times, can you imagine today's batgod going up against the 50s "boner" Joker? Then look at spidey going up against an *old man in a winged harness* Spidey didn't have a single decent villain until Venom popped up, then Marvel promptly ran a good thing into the ground.

Wish some decent writer would be given the Spider-Man mythos and drag it out of the stone ages. if Jamie Foxx gets the Electro role in the next spidey movie it might at least force the comics to follow along to a revamp

/preparing to be slammed by nostalgic spidey fans. please, just look at that electro costume. look at it!

Gambit really shouldn't be in that pic. Sure he lead them to the Morlocks but was never really a part of the group.

Considering that they trashed the shiat out of the Avengers Mansion and beat Hercules into a coma, they're no lightweights.

That's technically the same group as the Injustice League and the Crime Syndicate.
