NowhereMon: A handgun?

I want to take a moment to say that I in no way am advocating violence against Jerry Brown, just that it being a school, and a government official that presenting a weapon would result in awesome chaos.

My second choice would be a California Uber Alles single:

I worked for the Jerry campaign in 92. Was a PA delegate to the DNC. Great experience, and a good man. And an interesting cast of characters.

I've never been able to figure out "California Uber Alles." Jerry Brown has never seemed like an authoritarian in any way to me, and Jello Biafra wrote that song as Ronald Reagan's Presidential campaign was getting up and running, and the right in general was on the rise. So he decides to take a poke at a very liberal Democrat. What am I missing here?

And one other thing (I miss the days when your post was always previewed): I know that Biafra rectified that a bit later by doing a new version of that song called "We've Got a Bigger Problem Now" about Reagan, but, again, I ask: what was his problem with Brown in the first place? Was it a '70s version of an Occupy Wherever person saying Obama is as big a fascist as Romney?

That the nanny police state on the left was the same as the nanny police state on the right.

Jello, a 20 year old recent arrival from Boulder CO, was noticing things like Harvey Milk's assassination, or various groups of aging california would-be liberals who were turning into yuppie conservatives who none the less still thought of themselves as liberals, yet who were quickly becoming douchey 80s yuppies.

Made perfect sense to me.

Jello hated all authority, but he hated authority that thought of itself as benevolent when in fact it wasn't the most.

The idea that Brown would be a figurehead for enforced hippie values at gunpoint was just a silly idea, except it kind of could be believable. Turns out, he was right about enforcing Californian values, but wrong about what end of the political spectrum would be promoted. And a year later after California Uber Alles ... We've Got a Bigger Problem Now.

// Drink up, happy hour is now enforced by law.

I can't even hear the name Jerry Brown without following it up with the line "my aura smiles and never frowns, soon I will be president!"

Great ideas so far (Subby).

Favorites are the California Uber Alles single and the bill ending Prop 13. More ideas are welcome though. No idea what security will be like and if I'll even get a chance for an autograph, but I'm gonna give it my best try! Will post pictures if I get anything!

I was also thinking I might try to get this poster I designed (hand-cut stencil & spraypaint) signed by him, but it obviously wouldn't be as funny as the other stuff.

Are you drunk? Brown never saw a tax increase he didn't like. I don't think it's physically possible for him to not raise taxes.

You're just kind of a dumbfark, aren't you? Try to visit reality once in a while, it's much nicer than the dystopia in your head where you typically reside.

a Bible - I saw where the Guv was quoting Luke 14;48 (if memory serves) to justify his tax raising Propostition. Then compliment him on his support of corporal punishment - which is what that section was REALLY about.
