Relatively Obscure: jehovahs witness protection: I had my chance to get "revenge" on a carload of people who were standed. (car had Obama stickers anlong with quite a few anti-everything stickers. They were in the middle of nowhere and had at least a 10 mile walk.
Instead of taking revenge, I gave all 5 of them a ride and called a tow truck to get their car somewhere to be fixed.
They were all very surprised I was a conservative and talked about how they had heard and believed all of :us people" were full of hate and only cared about hurting "their kind".

Learning about both sides before making blind decisions based on what MSNBC says is a much wiser way to live.
When they offered me money for helping, I said no thanks. Give to relief efforts instead...even if Obama said not to.

/yes, after not being able to work for more than a year because of my stroke and a bout with cancer, I'm broke. But right now there are others who are more in need of help.

I know that when I help strangers, the first thing I talk about is politics.

I think we found the almost literal Good Samaritan. The one in the Bible had to be labeled as good because the other Republi- I mean, Samaritans, were horrible people.

Under the plan, Fiat will produce a small Jeep SUV in Italy that is not currently made anywhere else in the world. That SUV will be sold both in Europe and in the U.S., and will not shift any planned U.S. production.

You must be a Romney supporter. Your lie is shown in the article you link. I guess you were counting on everyone else being as willfully ignorant as you?

I used to think the encounters that I read about on Fark were fictitious, and then this happened to me.

I was an associate professor at a small, midwestern college. The day that I was denied tenure, the campus republicans were preparing for a 'diversity bake sale'.

Just as I was packing my things to leave, they were preparing the items in several toaster ovens in a single dorm room, and, somehow, a fire started. Thinking quickly, and without regard for my own safety, I battled back the fire and rescued three of the youths.

The three that I rescued were incredulous. None of them had taken any of my courses, but they knew my reputation for being environmentally conscious, my sensitivity to gender and race equality, and my long hair, so they gathered that I was a liberal. They told me "we've always been told by our parents and other, older, leadership figures with conservative credentials that all liberals are completely selfish, evil cretins who would be gleeful if we died in a fire! Thank you, Cal, for showing us the error of our ways!"

When they rejoined their peers, they were shocked to discover that they were shunned and disbelieved.

I guess I can only make converts a few at a time.

Lsherm: Relatively Obscure: I know that when I help strangers, the first thing I talk about is politics.

The liberals probably brought it up. They tend to be preachy.

Today's democratic party is now slightly to the right of Ronald Reagan policy wise.

Understand the following facts....

Those on the left have only been fighting back (rhetorically) for the past decade or so, after 40 years of conservative demagoguery...
conservatives just aren't used to liberal backbone.

I suggest you get used to...they finally found their balls (Thank God too, the nation really CAN'T stand single party rule)

"The number one job is to make Obama a one-term president."

Republicans spent the last 3.5 years farking up America to make good on this statement. Revenge is sorely needed against these anti-American party-before-people farktards.

/tell me, right-wing Farkers, why are you REALLY voting for Romney? Is it because you honestly think the Republican plan is good, or is it because he's not Obama and you hate economic growth, unemployment drop, stronger foreign ties, and women and gays being treated as human beings and American citizens?

neongoats: The impotent rage that Romney will feel, as he must fully emotionally grasp the fact that he finally found something all the money in the world can't buy him is revenge enough.

Entitled, born with a solid platinum spoon in his mouth piece of garbage that wasn't happy being just rich, but he had to spend his life putting Americans out of work and sending their jobs to India and China.

He is subhuman garbage and a fundamentalist cultist to boot.

And lastly, why wouldn't a rich spoiled piece of shiat like him just buy a suburban, so the dog wouldn't have to ride on the roof? What does a suburban cost.. 1% of the monthly stock dividends he was born with?

I hope his worldview is crushed so bad when he loses that he kills himself and makes the world a better place.

That's pretty damn harsh, but I'm having a hard time disagreeing...

eddiesocket: FloydA: HeartBurnKid: FTFA: "No, no, no, Don't boo. Vote," Obama told the crowd. "Voting is the best revenge."

So... am I the only one who doesn't see a problem with this statement?

Nope. Anyone who isn't already looking for a reason to hate the President would think "yeah, that's pretty standard campaign rhetoric." But the GOP have become the party of permanent outrage, so anything Obama says, they have to find a way to spin it negatively. If Obama says "Hello," the GOP will start shrieking because it starts with "hell."

You almost have to give them kudos, though. It's extraordinarily difficult to spin "offense" out of absolutely nothing. Usually there's a small baseline they work with and then spin out hyperbolicly. There's nothing here at all.

Yeah. But you have to try to imagine their perspective. If you woke up every morning, determined to hate something so much that it threw you into an incoherent, spittle-flicking rage, you'd understand.

I mean, for me, a cup of strong coffee is enough to wake me up and get me going, but for Republicans, only raw hatred can get them motivated. Without irrational hate, they have no motivation at all.

If they weren't such a threat to America, I would almost feel sorry for them.

It's just because they hate Obama.

I've come to the inescapable conclusion that that is the sole reason any halfway intelligent person is voting for Romney this year; after the GOP has indicated their total contempt for America and their genuine hatred for most of the rest of the world. I honestly believe a vote for Romney is merely saying "Ha ha ha, F*CK YOU OBAMA! WE GOT YOU AT LAST!!!" without any consideration at all for what might happen after that, even if on January 22d Romney were to whip off his disguise and be Stalin reincarnated and declare the purges would start with everyone who voted for him; these cretins would joyously put their backs to the wall, glad at least Obama wasn't getting another four years.

PsiChick: Keizer_Ghidorah: What the hell did you think Obama meant? He didn't say take revenge by shooting them, he meant take revenge by voting against them.

And once again, not only is that a completely offensive concept to a democratic republic, Romney has not done anything to cause harm to the average voter. He ran for office. He's allowed to do that. It's like trying to say you should take revenge on a hammer for being in the toolbox.

/Not saying you should vote for or against the guy, but Romney hasn't actually attacked anyone.
//Been a slimeball, yes, but the whole 'revenge' bit is generally reserved for your parents being murdered in a dark alley while bats fly around.

It was a jest. You seriously can't understand that? Any normal human should be able to pick up on that. You'd think a psychic wouldn't be so baffled by common speech.

But, pleae continue with the "well, I never!" act.

Lionel Mandrake: EnviroDude: Revenge for what?

For scaring a bunch of auto industry workers with his blatant lie that their jobs were going to China.

There are other reasons, but for Ohio that's the big one in recent days.

Are plants being built in China? Per Bloomberg, they are. Could expansion in the US added jobs here? Yes, but it isn't happening here for that market.

Seems that in the whole, and based on the article he was quoting, Romney was essentially correct.

Plants are being built in China to supply the Chinese market. This makes perfect sense. NOTHING is being "moved" to China, and not one American job is being lost.

Mitt Romney is a lying sack of shiat.

Didn't read the article, but the father of the guy who my wife cheated on me with is running for Sheriff here, and I intend to vote against him for no other reason than I dislike his kid.
