I guess sound, vibration, hot wiring, and EM fields could maybe fark with a body. Never really thought it could cause tumors though. Maybe a case or two of bar lung.

Well, the drummers die too fast to get a brain tumor.

Maybe with drummers brain tumors just don't find any place to latch on.

It's a good thing they figured this out, now they can save all the other guitarists who have brain tumors from decades of playing!

...wait a second...

Does the Daily Fail have a team dedicated to finding/making up medical and mental conditions?

Just off the top of my head, there's this, the girl who is aroused by the statue of liberty, and the girl who is constantly orgasming. And that's just in the last few months.

...guy walks into a guitar convention, picks up a guitar and begins to play. He plays so beautifully that before he has finished the song, he has attracted a crowd of guitarist onlookers.

"What is that strange tuning?!" he is asked.

"EADGBE" he replies.

Attempt to allay your concerns by instead convincing yourself that the cause is a brain-eating parasite amoeba.

Brain tumors are typically really bad headaches *with* violent vomiting, nonstop. Possibly throw in loss of speech, motor skills, etc. Sudden, not gradual.

FAIL in not doing enough research to realize that glioblastoma multiforme is the old name for what is now classified as glioblastoma.

"Mr Reed was also surprised to discover that some patients on the clinical trial who had been diagnosed as having a Glioblastoma tumour were also musicians. He however, had the Glioblastoma Multiforme."

Per the Daily Fail's own reporting, he noticed the musical coincidence in the first place and it was the staff at St Thomas' who helped make the connection through their anecdotal evidence.

I'm not even a drummer, but rhythm is the most fundamental aspect to music there is. They are the band leaders. Nobody can play their instrument without them setting the beat.

SurfaceTension: Drummers don't make music?

It's not that; it's that they tend to get shot, suffer freak industrial accidents, or spontaneously combust long before a brain tumor could become problematic (or even detectable). Just look at Spinal Tap.

Plus playing kit is the hardest of all instruments to get love for. Nobody wants to hear it without a bass player, but the damned frontman can probably walk around with a guitar and his voice and get more pussy than if he was on stage.
