Judging purely by his Twitter feed, Cusack is an unapologetic radical left-wing nutjob, so this should be fun.

Will be just like the Howard Stern movie I'm sure, but without sending the maid out for drugs.

Who will they cast as the Dominican boy that stole Rush's heart? I'm assuming that's going to be the love interest in this story.

Is Cusack going to wear a fat suit? This could turn into an unplanned comedy.

Possibly, but don't call me Shirley.

They should have cast Fred Savage.

Oh, he's not.

You could have just read the first sentence of TFA. Instead you have chosen to read Twitter.

They did, but he's playing Michael Moore

Yeah, the nightly fantasies I have regarding him have now ended :(
If I see the movie (and probably will only because of my love for John Cusack)... the cool guy I imagine from "Gross Pointe Blank" will now be him as Rush...
You can't clean that out of your brain, no matter how hard one tries...

/who will I fantasize about now?

I didn't know John Cusack was a pill addled disingenuous, pathological liar and a crude blowhard who makes his living on a radio and is into little Dominican boys.

You learn something every day.

I lean left too- it was just an observation. My point was that (assuming this goes through) it'll be like Tom Cruise doing a movie about the WBC.

I'm trying to wrap my head around this. Matter/anti-matter...... dividing by zero.......John Cusack is so far left he's fallen off the edge of the wing.

I'm sure it will be a sensitive and moving performance.

Bahhhh! Sean Penn should do this. He would actually put on a hundred pounds, become addicted to oxy, go deaf, punch some reporters and .............who knows what else. Visit the Dominican Republic? I wonder if there shall be lawsuits over this.

No doubt Rush can come across as a hateful SOB, but I hope this portrayal doesn't develop into a one-sided skewering of Rush. I would like to see an honest portrayal of what really makes the guy tick (insert obvious joke here). There is a tendency to portray detestable public figures from only one angle. As evidence, take a look at wartime propaganda posters. But real life is never so one dimensional. Although I disagree with many of his opinions, I'll bet that Rush has lived a fascinating life.

I'm sure it'll be as successful as his previous political vanity piece.

Instant bomb, and straight to video.

The libs tried this with the TV show Monty, which was also a humongous failure.

Face it, libs, Rush kicks your ass daily and you can't do anything about it but cry.

Can I ask, this is the first sentence:
"Actor and outspoken liberal John Cusack is developing a movie about conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh, Cusack's production company said Friday."

Then later in the article it mentions something about typecasting Cusack as Limbaugh, but, I still didn't see anything definitive in here that Cusack would actually play Limbaugh... he is just developing the movie. There are many other actors that would fit that bill much better, and I think Cusack is aware of that.

This. Just because he says things in a way that libs can't stand, doesn't mean there should be a hit piece done. Here's hoping it's a respectful doc.....but what can I say, I'm not holding my breath.

Cusack would have made a film about a successful liberal radio talk show host but they are about as rare as hippies in shoe shop.

Ooh, how about Paul Giamati? Or Philip Seymour Hoffman?

By the way, the absolute worst thing about this story isn't the involvement of Cusak, whether or not he plays Rush. It's that Betty Thomas is directing.
