he modern sense of "an X about X" has given rise to concepts like "meta-discussion", a discussion about discussion, "meta-joke", a joke about jokes, and "metaprogramming", writing programs that write programs.

Also, very well done video. Loved it.

An example of meta is in the recent South Park episode ‶Raising the Bar", when Kyle wonders to Stan if it was partly their fault that the bar had been lowered so far.
