Dude, 21 Jump Street isn't obscure.

This is great, because teenagers are well-known for making rational, well-thought-out decisions based on analysis of the available information on the policy positions of the various candidates.

Also, teenagers tend to be idealistic libtards because they haven't ever held a job or been in the real world where they understood what the result of their fantasy world is. Plus, they are used to only spending their parents money, they haven't ever earned their own, that is why they are so big on spending other people's tax money.

That is why Fernandez wants them to be able to vote. It is like if America were to let felons vote, they would all vote for Obama, hence why the democrat party has been pushing to let criminals vote.

I hope this doesn't lead to other countries lowering the voting age. It should be raised to 25 or 30 instead.

That's not far enough, it should just be white male property owners.

You're on your own there. I don't own any white sheets.

Seems fair to me.

In Argentina you can go to jail at 14. Why not be able to vote?

The vast majority of adults - of any age - do not make "rational, well-thought-out decisions based on analysis of the available information on the policy positions of the various candidates."

The candidates know this, which is why none of their campaign material have anything to do with things like policy, reason, or facts. (And obviously there's a feedback loop thingy going on there as well . . . )

I think we should get rid of the age limit entirely and instead base it on if you paid taxes.

No taxation without representation should cut both ways, and the IRS doesn't care how old you are.

I fail to see the issue. In America, we're lucky if the average voter has the intelligence of a 16-year old and really lucky if they read at that level.

So much this. Its clearly motivated by cynical political objectives, and not egalitarian idealism.

Exacta-mundo. It's all emotion...y'know - fear, hatred, contempt, etc.

Debates??? Meh....I'd much rather see a caged wrasslin' match, winner takes the Oval Office.

Also...no matter how many new voters your put onto the rolls you're still not going to take back the Falklands.

Suck it. Suck it down.

Or, maybe the ones that are felons because of the drug war would vote Libertarian.

No, they are black. All felons are black, and all blacks vote for Obama. Even Uncle TomHerman will vote for him

Yeah, they're looking to be a real bloodbath...

/A cage match would be a real step up
//And you can't imagine what I would give for an actual debate instead of these joint press conferences we have now

So, what, the legal voting age is now two years above the age of consent there?

That could add several brazilian voters to the rolls.
