Well it's not like there's a bad word on it or anything

"And then, of course, the Navy," he continued. "The Navy said they needed at least 313 ships to be able to fulfill their missions in the world. We're now down to 285. We're headed a heck of a lot lower."

Anyway, look at this piece of human garbage. Just literally straight lying.

"I love the sound of those jets," the GOP nominee told the crowd of some 6,000 at the outdoor Farm Bureau Live amphitheater, as he hastily booked a flight to France.

do you think republicans would be more on-board with social welfare if aid was dropped to the american poor from bomber squads, berlin airlift-style?

a massive military expenditure directly aimed at thwarting communism? yes, they would probably support it...unless obama proposed it.

United States population: 5% of world
US military spending: 50% of world

Who the hell are Republicans so scared of?

And the military is a necessary evil. We should very much respect those willing to lay down their lives for the defense of others. It is noble. However, one should not love the sound of jets for the sake of having military aircraft. They are designed to kill humans. That is an unfortunate part of our humanity, not something to be glorified and held high. Humans suck, so we need a military. It's not a good commentary on our nature or species.

Yes, but it was also a massive bailout to people who couldn't support themselves.

Yeah probably but I shouldn't even be able to make the question reasonable. It shouldn't even be a question that the Berlin airlift would be supported, and we can actually debate if the GOP would have opposed it.

I, for one, am outraged by our biplane shortage.

And I hear we're distinctly lacking in muskets! How do the Appeasocrats think the Republicans won the Civil War? With spit-balls?

Considering the armaments our past two enemies used to fight a ten-year stalemate, maybe we should be spending that defense money on AK-47s and IEDs instead of cruisers.

Another jet had passed as Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, a veteran who is from this neck of the woods, introduced Romney a few minutes earlier.

"Don't you love the sound of freedom?" he said

Really when you think of freedom you think of the sound of military jets, so would this be a freedom loving parade.

I want to know his policy on coaling stations, including places like Midway and Shanghai. These places are needed to fuel the fleet, especially the Asiatic fleet, in its mission to keep the opium trade soundly western and not in the hands of those barbarian Chinese. Also, by putting rams on the armored dreadnaughts, you are simply increasing their effectiveness, imagine what the Russians would have been able to do with rams in 1905!
