I think Mike Stoklasa is the natural choice.

Hey how about that guy that directed "My Dinner With Andre"?

Didn't watch the video, but who directed the last Muppet movie?

Because, that seems like the natural direction these films are heading.

I think we should take Star Wars in a whole new direction and just have Chan-wook Park direct or maybe even Lu Chuan. Maybe even Takashi Miike since Star Wars is borrows a lot from Kurosawa samurai films.

OK, I would do all sorts of awful things to see Star Wars directed by Miike

Joss Whedon *IS* the most obvious choice. He knows the material, he's already made a billion or so $$$ for Disney, and his name is attached to the best SF/fantasy in recent history.

Unfortunately, he's already attached to Avengers 2.

Still, I bet he's made a few phone calls already.

If they got Freddie Wong, it would look fantastic and wouldn't need a big budget compared with the other films :-)

If you have to tell people up front that your video is 'Comedy,' it's probably going to suck.

I would rather watch Episode I than watch that "comedy" video again. Terrible.

Gore Verbinski.

Terry Gilliam

Hey, at least we got that pod racing game, which is awesome, out of it.

DammitIForgotMyLogin: Terry Gilliam

That would be my dream choice

Bah! It would take 10 years and never be finished.

You know what? Let's turn episode VII into a Space Opera Four Rooms. Let's make a vignette film and have four different directors each do a segment. David Cronenberg, Clint Eastwood, Ang Lee, and David Schwimmer, I'm thinking.

I think they should hire the guy that directs those liberty medical catheter commercials.

Joel Schumacher
