I thought we all had an unspoken understanding that we were never going to bring up this asshole's name again.

I not only hate his politics, I hate him personally following a trademark tantrum he threw at a restaurant when I was his bartender. He is the worst sort of manchild and I can't believe he managed to survive the 90s to make a primary run.

America. What a country.

I'm not voting Obama if Gingrich is endorsing him. fark that

Heh... Love to hear that story.

That bloated hypocrite is well-know, spoiled man-child.

I have a similar feeling towards James Taylor after a summer working at a bar on Martha's Vineyard.

Subby didn't mention the truly strange part of the e-mail...

"The truth is, the next election has already been decided. Obama is going to win. It's nearly impossible to beat an incumbent president," advertiser Porter Stansberry wrote in the email to Gingrich supporters. "What's actually at stake right now is whether or not he will have a third-term."

In a perfect world, that would be true of Coulter and Trump as well, but here we are.

I'm a little disappointed to find out that Gingrich didn't personally write the email. OTOH, I think we just found the reason for the existence of "FW: FW: fw: Fw:" FW:"

I used to know a girl that was related to him (second cousin-y sort of thing). He was never invited to family gatherings.

At the top and bottom of his emails, there is a disclaimer for readers, in part saying, "the following message reflects the opinions and representations of our advertiser alone."

It wasn't Newt at all, but an advertiser sending to his mailing list.

Seeing as they are betting on the stupidity of the American public, specifically the fraction that subscribes to Gingrich e-mails, I'd say they're probably rolling in the dough.

kungfu jesus with a side of lime: please lay a CSB on us and tell us all about it. that sounds like a story I need to hear...

The dumbest thing about it is that I can't even recall what it was that set him off. If it had actually been a real transgression like pissing in his Sazerac I'd remember it lo these years later. The truth of the matter was that some tiny little thing wasn't to his satisfaction and he pitched an apoplectic, histrionic b*tch-fit, calling me a "loser." Probably forgot to give him a swizzle stick or something. Whatever it was, it was so minor that 14 years later I can't remember it. But bet your ass I remember him.

When a brat like that calls you a "loser," it takes every fiber of your being to avoid punching him. Thing is, I would have ended up on CNN...and nobody wants that. Given my young age at the time - and sometimes thoughtless aggression - I'm surprised I was able to hold it all in. Because that man was at the top of my sh*t list. Actually, he was the only one on it. I'm typically a lover, baby, not a fighter.

It's really not a CSB. He's just an asshole.

And you have to go to the guy's website to find out how Obama will bypass the 22nd Amendment. I'm gonna go with "will appoint Supreme Court justices who will overturn the amendment" or possibly "will argue that the requirement only applies to natural-born citizens and will admit to not being one." Of course since it is an ad from a man convicted of defrauding investors it will likely give you details on how to donate to a legal fund called Citizens Approving of a Safe Homeland (but just use the acronym "CASH" on the check.)

Listen up Obama voters:

The mods here are hard core Republicans. There's a very specific reason they're pushing this "Obama has the election in the bag" narrative. That reason is that he emphatically does not have the election in the bag, and they're hoping to lull you into not voting.

Whoever wins this election will do so by a razor thin margin. As 2000 taught us, a few hundered votes in any swing state can make the difference--not only to the election outcome, but to the next decade's history.

Yes, Obama voters have every reason for cautious optimism. Signs look good. But that's all the more reason why it's crucial to vote. We can win this one. But we only if we get out to the polls.

If there is anyone, and I mean ANYONE who lends credibility to something...you know it's newt Gingrich. S Obama wins and he gets to be president of the USA, viceroy to Spain and duke of earl.

2012-11-02 08:00:26 AM
I disagree with him on his Bart-killing policy, but I do agree with his delusional theories about Barack Obama and the 22nd Amendment.

And this is the GOP's "idea man." It's not hard to come up with a lot of ideas, but having one now and again that's based in reality is always a plus.

2012-11-02 08:00:27 AM
Did anyone actually read TFA?

in a nutshell:

Gingrich sells his name to advertisers, publicists and agencies who send out emails using his name as though they will lend credibility to whatever is being peddled. One agency in particular had an especially derpy client who claimed that Gingrich is suggesting that Obama will shred the 22nd amendment even though newt never said anything of the sort. This is kind of like an athlete being shown in a beer commercial gallivanting with hot chicks even though the guy might be married.

If ever there were nothing to see, now would be it.

I've never seen anyone claim Obama has the election in the bag. Not the media, not the Republicans, and certainly not the people asking me to donate more money to fight the Republicans. But I think they're all too pessimistic.

I will certainly vote next Tuesday morning, about 7:30 am after I get off work. No early voting allowed here.

I would love access to a direct mail list of morons who VOLUNTEER to have Newt send them advertising. I would steer them like a herd of cattle through so many amusing scenarios.

I mean hell, I give money to Obama, but I also have him in my spam filter. I don't feel special because he sends me emails, I just want him to win and keep doing his good job running the country.

These people are sad.

Yes, thanks, but rational people already knew Newt is nothing but a shameless hypocrite and has absolutely no scruples.

You give someone the right to use your name or image, you are approving of whatever message they are using you to promote.

Just vote. Everyone just vote and get rid of the electoral college. Popular vote only. Be a part of it. Otherwise be quiet and hope for the best. But don't complain what you get if you don't vote.

One more semi-CSB about famous people and bartending:

In 2001 I stirred a famous pop singer's margarita with my penis (took it in the office where no one could see). After three straight nights of her diva-ness I just got fed up. Note to future bartenders - don't stick your dick in lime juice and sour mix. Seriously, don't do it.

Still, victory was mine. I didn't pee in it or anything. Just stirred it real nice and watched her drink it. It's the only time I've ever done anything remotely that bad. Believe it or not, she was just that horrible, verbally abusing the staff and even attempting to slap one of my cocktail servers. It was wrong, but I regret nothing.

How on earth would this be possible? It would take a Constitutional amendment. Furthermore people are not going to elect someone who looks too old for the job, look at pictures of Bill Clinton and W on the day they took office and they day they left, both aged 20 years in 8, hell Obama looks 10 years older after 4. Reagan is the exception because he had great hair and Hollywood makeup.

22nd Amendment Solutions

Blatant fear mongering.

gingrich is throwing read meat to the freepers out there who have little to no understanding of what the Constitution is or how it works (except that it was given to us by g*d). These are the people who, despite all evidence and logic, insist that President Obama and his supporters see him as "The One", an immaculate and perfect leader with a band of empty headed followers who approve every little thing he does. They see everyone outside their monkeysphere as brainwashed cult members.one step away from following "The One" to Guyana and schlepping grape kool-aid.

Besides, if the 22nd Amendment were overturned, the obvious choice for the Democratic Party would be one William Jefferson Clinton.

2012-11-02 08:35:52 AM
It would almost be worth having Romney win just to see how worse his policies would be compared to Obama's. I still can't believe that despite Romney's history at Bain and as Governor that anyone would think he'd make a good President.
