(Bloomberg)   If you live in a pro-choice area, you're getting a Romney ad supporting a woman's right to choose. If you live in a pro-life area, you're getting an OMG, Obama is a baby killer ad   (bloomberg.com) divider line 130

KhamanV: Not the ad I thought they were talking about. I'm in western PA and we're getting the deranged Randall Terry anti-Muslim/anti-Obama ads complete with corpse-gore. Real corpses, I should add. Saw that tasty little number at 11pm on the dot last night.

Man is still pissed off they wouldn't let him show aborted fetuses during the Super Bowl, so now he's shiatting things up for people this way.

I've had the misfortune of meeting Terry and firmly believe it is an act - intended to create a revenue stream for himself. He is not a virtuous person at all.

moothemagiccow: keylock71: phenn: Just call it pro or anti abortion. That is the subject at hand. I don't understand why people cringe at those terms.

Because it's quite possible for someone to personally be against abortion, but still believe women should be able to "choose" whether they want to have the procedure or not?

Yeah I wish people would shut up about abortion and talk about less expensive methods of birth control. Abortion isn't half as important as poverty or education.

Many people against abortion are also against sex education and easily accessible birth control.

friday13: shotglasss: LeoffDaGrate: shotglasss: Full disclosure: Obama has said that babies should be denied health care. Romney has never said that.

badhatharry: Romney pretends to be pro-life. Obama covers up terrorist attacks. Both sides are bad.

Translation: "We've got absolutely no defense for Romney on this issue, so... What's that?!? Look over there!" *run away*

That's also known as the Bhangazi defense.

And I still don't get why being for abortion is called prochoice. I have yet to see a fetus choose to sign a doctor's release allowing the kid to be killed and vacuumed out of it's house.

because fetus =/= person, that's why.

Technically, they are a prisoner.

Since nobody likes abortion and it's been proven that anti-abortion laws don't actually reduce the number of abortions, the two sides of the issue should really be labeled as Anti-Safe-Abortion and Anti-Unsafe-Abortion.

Oh, come on. At best, that is where he stood. By the time it takes to put a video on YouTube, Romney could have changed his position a dozen times.

This surprises people? Hell for the last six months or so it seems every political ad has either been Republican X is an elitist fat cat that will kill social security and send your job to China or Democrat X is a baby eating Socialist that is going to tax 100% of your income and abort your children.

Barack Obama baby eating communist.

badhatharry: t3knomanser: phenn: Just call it pro or anti abortion. That is the subject at hand. I don't understand why people cringe at those terms.

Because nearly no one is actually pro-abortion. Some people admit the practical necessity and the importance of letting women control their reproductive future. Some people are ideologically opposed.

It's similar to gun rights. Pro-gun people don't want any restrictions and pro-abortion people don't want any restrictions. Because they know wherever you draw the line, the other side will still want more restrictions.

Well, yes, except if you want a gun and are having trouble getting one, there's no time limit on that. Not to mention no one picketing outside gun stores.

But if you want or medically need an abortion, and excessive restrictions and aggressive protests have led to few to no doctors in your state performing them, you have a time limit to get yourself somewhere that does. That can be a big burden on someone who's poor and needs to work.

Dear Libs,

The fact that we don't think other people should be forced to pay for your birth control pills does not mean that we are against you taking birth control pills. In fact, please do.

The whole concept of insurance is to pay for other people's shiat and birth control is also required for numerous health conditions, also prevents large growths within a women's uterus.

ultraholland: BeesNuts: I wouldn't say that. There's just nothing to the story that is being pushed on us harder than Clean Coal. Unfortunately, America is REALLY BAD at learning the right lessons from current events, even when we've already learned them from past events. So we'll truck right on with the Narrative and ignore the very important and very real lessons we could apply to the region and to security of embassies and consulates around the world.

I should have clarified that there is much to learn from this but there's nothing to the scandal angle on this one.

I fully expected that you understood this when you posted. But given how many people seem to *love* having no clue what the hell happened, I thought it wise to clarify.

Reporting from a swing state:

The other day we had a message on our phone, from Fred Thompson the actor/politican, about how Obama was the most pro-abortion president in history. The message was fronted by the Susan B. Anthony group. Which I guess is some B.S. attempt to connect "strong wimmens" with anti-abortion efforts.

Also, there is a billboard up by the interstate about how Obamacare funds abortion, and it has the cutest comical-looking hat-wearing baby (a baby who's at least 6 months old). I laugh every time I see it, then I feel bad for laughing, then I feel confused about how I should feel. Wish I could find a picture of it.

How do you live in today's world without a cell phone?

Yeah but you don't see that on bumper stickers. You don't see anti-condom protests. There are no "progesterone ruined my life" or "G-O-D not I-U-D" signs in front of planned parenthood. They framed the birth control argument as an abortion argument so the rest doesn't matter.

I'm saying the conversation needs to be different, regardless of the opinions. The anti-abortion argument is a valid one. Abortion is an extreme solution. Being against any other birth control method is stupid.

Our priorities are drugs, tv and loose women. Please pay for our birth control pills. They're cheaper than orphanages.

So how does he claim to support choice now? Is this one of the items that was passed despite his veto that he's now taking credit for?

If old guys get blue bills so they still get it up and also take baths outside, women should be able to get pills that let them have sex without the fear of pregnancy.
