i upped my meds-up yours: I acquired Army officer's dress whites and was going to greet the kids at the door on Halloween, till I remembered the vet across the way might not know it was a de-authorized uniform. (Stormin' Norman is the last guy anyone remembers wearing it.)

So I dressed as a WW2 transport pilot instead. Had an old dude come up and tell me his dad had been a bombardier. Gave him a smile. Me too.

That's the thing. Most military guys won't mind you dressing up as one of us for a Halloween costume or something like a stage play. Heck, as his army buddies showed, we'll often help you get the uniform and have it be correct. Where we get irate is when you try to actually represent yourself as one of us.

Anyone over, say 13, should be punched in da face for wearing a Halloween costume. I punched myself just for considering it. Actually did punch my wheelchair bound girlfriend this year. Not because of her costume, it's because I'm an asshole.

sjmcc13: suburbanguy: sjmcc13: Kuroshin: Don't really care much for that Constitution, do ya?

I am not american, and no. While it has some good parts and allot of good ideas, it is limited by the writers not being able to forsee how things would change over time, and the USA's moronic refusal to change parts that need to be changed due to changes in society, technology and logical oversights.

Someone from Canadia mocking the Constitution - the First Amendment, no less. Is this one of this hyperbolic/ironical attempts at humor?

/Wait, you're serious?
//Let me laugh harder...

No, it is a logical argument I am not getting in to. especially with someone who can not grasp the concepts involved.

There are reasonable limits to rights. You still need to be able to punish someone for going beyond certain boundaries.

US Gun laws need a major overhaul, separation of church and state needs to be revised (in case you did not notice the big churches trying to break it and enforce their will on the state/IRS thing last month).
There are things Freedom of speech should not cover, like lying slander, liable, racism, hate speech, propaganda, etc. It should cover opinions, but not delusions. It should not cover things that are obviously wrong. Or do you think it is OK for a company to claim to be giving the news, and blatantly lie and mislead thousands of people into believing the opposite of what happened?

The principals of the US constitution is a good idea, it just needs to be revised and updated to cover things that were not possible for the writers to predict. This is what I said if you were not brainwashed to not be able to think about these matters, and treat it like holy scripture you might have been be able to see this.

You should probably read a book or two.

The Constitution was written by people who knew when they wrote it that they could not predict the future. That's why it has written into it a process for changing it. Google up the thing and take a read and learn something.

Slander is illegal and not protected, so you are wrong there.

Companies cannot claim whatever they want, so you are wrong there.

Hate speech shouldn't be made illegal because it allows little dooshes like you who get into power to make telling a "mother goose story" hate speech just to get somebody they don't like into prison.

Racism is an opinion so you contradict yourself there.

Libel is illegal and not protected so you are wrong there.

US gun laws are pretty strict so I don't know what you are talking about there.

There is no separation of church and state. What church/IRS thing are you talking about?

There are reasonable limits to rights. For example, your right to do something stops when it infringes on somebody else's rights. And nothing can be considered a right if it imposes a burden on somebody else. That's why there is no right to have somebody else pay for your healthcare, cell phones, or lottery tickets.

Many people in history (remember those books I told you about) have believed the same exact way you do and millions of people have died under their regimes, so you can keep it. It is so funny how you people keep thinking that the only reason that this utopia you want to create hasn't worked yet is because the right people haven't tried it yet. It fails every time. I've trained dogs with fewer repetitions than you people apparently are even capable of.
