A good friend of mine. Our bands had the same manager for a few years. His band was making $5-10k a night in pretty much any market around the world with tickets priced at $20 or less. Pretty sure people knew who he was.

RIP brother.

Lucker, 28, was on a new Harley Davidson motorcycle driving in the Orange County city of Huntington Beach on Halloween night when he lost control and crashed into a light pole, according to a statement from the local police department.

So it wasn't Something Invisible..

He was taken to the University of California, Irvine Medical Center

Was simple ambulance used or was he air-Lifted?

where he later died, police said.

Looks like he had Time To Bleed

"Investigators said they were looking into the cause of the collision and whether alcohol was a factor."

I really doubt he was Slave To Substance. Maybe he was Wasted? Hopefully these questions won't be left Unanswered

Been seeing you troll all over the place lately. Just because you lost your job and you're sitting in your parents basement with tears running down your face is no reason to spend all day trying to piss off anonymous folks for attention. At the very least stick to the politics tab where the rest of the jobless mouth breathers hang out trying to out troll one another.

One of the saddest things I had ever seen was a 12yr old kid who used to hang around my buddies apt building was ALWAYS trying to come over because his father had died the previous year in a motorcycle crash and there were no kids his age at the complex. That poor daughter has a tough path ahead of her.

Also, why is this thread full of responses id expect from the likes of 4chan. Nearly a 1/3 of the replies are happy that some guy they never even heard of died? Really?

I'm sure, but you have to realize that no matter how much experience or gear you have you are still vulnerable to some kid that has been driving for a couple of months running you off the road. I really like motorcycles and would love to ride one but I can't get over the danger factor.

is that real? kind of sad/spooky

don't know what ATGATT means & don't know if a full face helmet would have helped - but have to think he's a bit of a prat. i mean, he didn't want the 'bobble head' look (i assume he meant full face helmet) but then puts on that silly mask and glasses (just more things to F with and have distract you while riding)

but dang

sucks

ATGATT stands for All the Gear All the Time. That means DOT approved helmet (some will argue full face over half or 3/4 styles), gloves, leather or armored jacket and pants and a good solid pair of boots that extend above the ankle. There was a picture of his new helmet posted somewhere where he stated his new helmet wasn't DOT approved because of the bobblehead look. DOT approved helmets are generally bigger due to the padding involved. Wearing one will make you look a bit like a bobble head, and it's not just the full face ones. I use a DOT approved half helmet and it gives me a funky mushroom headed like appearance. I'm sure someone will argue that I'm not being safe enough, but meh.

Never heard of this guy or this band before now, but this really pisses me off... he had a responsibility as a father to avoid doing stupid shiat that would kill him and leave his little girl behind, and he couldn't be a big boy long enough to recognize that. I'm sure he absolutely loved her, but he should've pulled his head out of his ass long enough to realize that "looking like a bobble-head" is a very, very small price to pay to ensure he's around to watch her grow up.

AGATT is why I don't ride much since I moved to SoCal. When it's 70 and sunny every day, it's too tempting to forgo boots, pants and heavy jacket, when you know you'll be schlepping that crap everywhere you go.

After splitting open my eye wearing only a half helmet (would have torn up my face worse if I wasn't wearing a smog mask and glasses with polycarbonate lenses), I'm not really a fan of anything other than full face protection.

Not wearing a DOT approved helmet of any kind is idiotic though.

I love this band and their music. To say that this music is not for everyone is a drastic understatement. I would think 99% of even metal fans would say that SS is horrendous. It's been awhile since I've gotten through a workout without having to put some Suicide Silence on.

Not that anyone listens to SS for the lyrics, I just wanted to point out Mitch's lyrics from Unanswered...

I want the hand of god
To come and strike me down

Where is your god?
Where is your f*cking god?

For once I can really say I submitted this with a better headline.

I'm not a fan of screamo/mallcore whatever you want to call it but I did see them live when they opened for Megadeth a few years back. The song didn't do it for me but the guy did have a stage presence. I was front and center and all I remember from their set is a tall lanky guy with super long arms leaning over the crowd going crazy. My wife kept calling him a condor. Imagine Micheal Phelps with tattoos. It sucks when any of the extreme metal community dies, there are too few of us to go around.

In most spills, you faceplant. That chin bar is the most important part of the helmet.

Moved to Florida and kind of going through the same thing. Still wear helmet and gloves. Not as bad as the locals who go sans helmet, wear flip flops (must hurt to shift) and smoke cigs at every traffic light.

So, to summarize, dude brags about new non-DOT approved helmet then crashes and dies. That takes care of that.

I never bothered on my scooters, but they were all 50cc and I was riding in small town Davis. But considering the speed of traffic where I live now (Costa Mesa), I'd wear at least jeans (heavy, not the new style super thin crap)/sturdy shoes along with the always mandatory full face, gloves and jacket (get a mesh one for warm weather, it'll be fine at 15-30 mph.)

I always do the full helmet and gloves on my scooter and proper shoes. I don't do the jacket because it's a risk I'm willing to take as opposed to getting heat stroke in Florida, but I'd never go without the helmet. I don't get the Floridians riding in flip flops thing, I've seen what happens to a foot when you wreck wearing them, but you've got all these idiots riding around with flip flops, no helmet, and texting.

Hell we get the flip flop wearing riders here in WI too during the summer. And they're usually wearing shorts and either a t-shirt or wife beater. But they're wearing their helmet at least. Nope. Only a DOT approved helmet is legally required.

Since it became common to call any Harley a hog.
The part that gets me though is that he took a somewhat ugly bike like a Sporty and actually managed to make it uglier with his customizations. You just don't see that everyday.

Not all of us have a gift for the ugly, some of us like to make our bikes look decent. Hell even a Sporty can be tricked out a bit to look nice, but removing the fenders, adding shorter pipes ( with that ass ugly heat tape no less), and choosing the lowest, ugliest handlebars he could find just aren't it.

Moved to Florida and kind of going through the same thing. Still wear helmet and gloves. Not as bad as the locals who go sans helmet, wear flip flops (must hurt to shift) and smoke cigs at every traffic light.

Dude, do you live in bradenton? It seems like every other stoplight has a motorcycle with a 50 year old dude, wearing flip flops, shorts, and rarely a shirt, always smoking a cigarette.

Someone please explain deathcore to me. Too many sub genres for all music nowadays. It comes off as emo metal, but then I don't think I ever really knew what emo and screamo was either. Not to detract from the tragedy, but the video in the article seems be guys trying to look and sound tough while they sing about being in touch with their emotions. Since the vocals have no apparent dynamic range, there is little emotional range to the music, but perhaps that's an ironic contrast people like? Much like I enjoy the irony of a happy song about shiatty things, or a cooking recipe song depicted like a Nazi rally.

The music kinda sounds like a slowed down Lamb of God without an amazing drummer.

/In fairness I didn't give it a fair shake

I'll run 5-10mph laps around my parking lot without gear or helmet, because it's 5-10mph. I go faster than that on my bicycle. I've gone squidding a couple times, and THAT scares the everloving crap outta me. Even with helmet, if I'm not fully geared-up, I won't leave my parking lot. Not even to go to the store.

But yeah, that helmet impact study is why I will never run anything but a quality full-face lid that's both DOT and SNELL rated. DOT for legality, and SNELL for the higher standards, and it's required for the racetrack. The likelihood of grinding your face off in case of a spill is just too damn high.

I don't know/don't care about the "extreme" metal bands middle schoolers are into these days. I guess these guys were one of the best deathcore bands? What I do know, is that you'd know the difference between whatever they play and real DEATH METAL- Bands full of ugly dudes, making ugly music for ugly people...bands like Obituary, Nile, Gorguts, I don't know...to be honest I don't listen to a lot of DM nor like a ton of it either (the latest Ulcerate is on my current playlist though).

What I do know is that it likely involves "brootal" generic death metal style vocals, hardcore style mosh pit breakdowns, technically proficient guitar solos, and possibly some pained emo singing as well (hence the *core part). A lot of cute young chicks probably like it too...which is definitely not the hallmark of any *real* metal band. For sure.

Pavement is all the same material.
Also, Vespas are not toys.

Real Vespas (not those Chinese knockoffs that DUI people ride down South when they lose their license) can output as much as 300cc (freeway legal in Cali), and they're light enough that they can go plenty fast.

And scooters have higher centers of gravity than a motorcycle so they're more dangerous than a motorcycle with equivalent power.

And scooters have higher centers of gravity than a motorcycle so they're more dangerous than a motorcycle with equivalent power.

Umm, how so? Generally, you're sitting on the motor and gas tank with a scooter, while a motorcycle's engine is taller and farther forward and the fuel tank is mounted much higher. A scooter's big disadvantages are smaller diameter/narrower/cheaper wheels and tires. If anything your average scooter has a far lower center of balance than a full sized bike.

Sorry but you're misguided. What the people here are saying has exactly zero effect on such relatives. They're saying it here, on FARK, a site designed so people could say whatever they wanted without the inconveniences of real life (not because real life it's right or wrong, but because it just has a different set of rules that most sane people recognize).
